This week’s Vendor Of The Week is Sugar Bee Flowers Youki has just moved to Melbourne from Queensland and is ready to kick start the brand new wedding season in a brand new city! I love Youki’s fresh style of floral arrangements – from bright bold colours, to combining unusual textures and blooms. Youki takes inspiration from the world around her and turns it into something pretty special. I’m an avid flower fan and always love to see what Youki comes up with!

To learn a little more about Sugar Bee Flowers we asked Youki five questions in five minutes!

What is your favourite after five drink?

A nice glass of Riesling or Verdelho makes me happy after a hard day’s work.

Your favourite weekend getaway?

I love the mountains, I love the rivers, I love the trees, flowers, birds, animals and everything that has to do with nature, so I love to go out to the mountains, my favorite being Tamborine Mountain at the moment. I’m moving to Melbourne in July, which I’m really looking forward to finding out lots of beautiful nature and vineyards (and of course it’s beautiful city too!).

Favourite restaurant?

I don’t have one at the moment, but we often go out to eat sushi. Yum!

What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?

My kids wake me up at 6 or 7 in the morning so the usual toast and coffee for me. If I could sleep in, I would love to go out to a beachside café for a brunch and good coffee!

Your favourite wedding story?

There are lots of special weddings, but the ones that the bride actually invites me to the ceremony are especially special! Because I email a lot with my clients, we become quite close and there were a couple of brides who invited me to attend the ceremony. Because not many of my friends are married, I have only attended 1 wedding in my life (2 including mine) – so to feel that wedding atmosphere is so beautiful and so inspiring.
