Adrian and Hannah
As a wedding photographer I am fortunate enough to be a part of many glorious weddings throughout Australia. This year’s wedding season is drawing closer so I would like to share with you my day, which was on the 28th March 2009. Perhaps you may get some ideas or inspiration for your own wedding. I’m a creative person who likes to be visually stimulated most of the time so it was important for me to get a pretty awesome location going. The ceremony and reception were held on Home Beach, North Stradbroke Island in QLD. We had a decorated marquee for the “after party” right on the sand 10 metres from the ceremony. Combining this picturesque location with a relaxed structure really allowed everyone to be comfortable in a chilled, social environment.
The Dress was made in Sydney by Culture Bridal. I was in Sydney to photograph a wedding and decided to go dress hunting while I was there. My first appointment was at 9am. This was the first dress I saw and tried on.
My Mumma Jules, puts together little cocoa coated coffee beans to add a little flavour.
This is Adrian but we call him “Adros”.
My two sisters Tess and Josie were both my maids of honour. They chose their own little dresses. I didn’t mind what they wore, as long as they were comfortable.
The flags made a huge impression.
My ring was hand made in France and imported by Paul Bram.
My lovely head piece is from Living Silk in Paddington.
Mmm … foot jewellery from Apple Eye Jewellery on the Northern NSW coast. She hand makes these with pearls and Swarovski crystals.
I had simple pink and white roses for the settings and I held one long stem pink rose. We organised our wedding from interstate so we hired Jeannie from Stradbroke Weddings to do the major planning and set up/down of the marquee.
Adrian’s suit was Hugo Boss.
The isle we walked down was the same isle we all exited at the end of the evening.
Marianna Massey is a great photographer friend of mine. Weddings are not her speciality, she shoots press for Getty in Sydney and did an outstanding job. Thanks Mare xx. So there you have it – My wedding!
