I am not entering the comp…but am so in love with the se delicious invitations. Just gorgeous!
Love the lace! You can use lace in either a classy or sassy way. Can’t get enough of it! Thanks for the inspiration.
Hi there,
In answer to your question: Tell us your favourite invitation and how it would work with your wedding day plans…
I am absolutely besotted with all of your delightfully decadent invitations! Your attention to detail, luxe materials and beautiful patterns and adornments are all beyond compare to anything I’ve seen in the Australian market – all absolutely stunning!
One invitation particular caught my eye though as it goes perfectly with my wedding theme! My wedding is going to be held in late Spring in Maleny at the beautiful Maleny Manor – a gorgeous white building surrounded by beautiful countryside, rolling hills and views to the yonder blue ocean. It was this location that inspired my styling of a ‘Natural linen/ country Chic’ theme, using twine and burlap, vintage wooden signs and baskets, croquet and mason jar vases for outdoor candles and flowers as a play on the rustic country surroundings while adding a touch of chic with crisp linen, Ivory silk, cornflower blue bridesmaids dresses and lots of beautiful white and blue flowers.
I’m sure that you can guess the invite that caught my eye but if not it is the beautiful floral print linen invitation with pretty grosgrain bow (absolutely stunning!).
Thanks so much for this opportunity, I hope to hear from you soon!
Being a big believer in love & fairytales, i have always loved the saying “Once in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairytale”. Thats truely, thats what has happened. I’ve found my prince charming & am planning my fairytale wedding. Peaches & Creme. That is what inspired my romantic vintage themed fairytale wedding look. Think Lace, pearls & diamonds, all fit for A PRINCESS.
I am planning to have my wedding at the gorgeous Eschol Park House, a garden wedding followed by the reception inside. big chandeliers hanging from the celings, olden day styled curtains. The venue is rich with history, giving it a good feel of vintage. White red carpet, with white tiffany chairs, walking down the isle to Pach’s “Canon in major D” My dress is to be like a princess- big ballgown style, with lots of diamonds & tulle. Im using alot of lace, chandelier candle centerpieces with small pale peach roses scattered around.
“First Blush” is a beautiful design that will bring out all these elements in my design.
Lacey invites with pearls and ribbons give it that feel to the theme.
As you can see i love anything girly. Your invites give it that girly touch, and i believe would make my special day, extra special, having your designs as my invites
Thank you,
Ariana
These invitations are so beautiful. Congrats to the bride who wins.
I love (love, love!) the ‘Snow White’ invitations. They’re so simple, yet so perfect.
I think what caught my eye with these was the contrast between the black and white – sort of like the contrast between future husband and myself. He’s a raging carnivore, while I’m the vegan. He’s more of a ‘do-er’ while I’m the ‘thinker’. He’s a gaming nerd, while I’m more likely to be out exploring on my bicycle somewhere. No matter, we make it work.
These invitations are a little bit kooky, a little bit soft with the bow, a little bit of contrast with the dots and flowers. In short, a little bit of everything together (like us!) but it works beautifully. I think it perfectly expresses us and would fit in gorgeously with the day we have planned – a combination of everything ‘us’!
Love all of them, but that’s my fave 🙂
My partner and I are getting married on the beautiful beaches of Rarotonga.
The golden sands are reflected in the colours of your bubbles invitation, with the bubbles reminding me of raindrops in the sand.
We are getting married during the wet season and I think your invitations reflect that even if it does rain, our day can still be beautiful.
These samples are so quit…love them all
Hi Ms Polka !
I would love to win this queen for day wedding invitations and website.
My favourite invitation from the Queen For A Day website is the Cashmere Leaves invitation. http://queenforaday.com.au/invitations/cashmere-leaves-invitation.php
James and I have booked our wedding for December on Ko Phi Phi Don in Thailand. The wedding is going to reflect James’ and my personality and lifestyle, being outside on the beach and with a relaxed and simple feel. We want to remove the formalities and for people to have fun, and focus on celebrating with us!
The website would be particularly useful as I am organising an overseas wedding, and have guests coming from all over the world. I have been receiving so many queries and keep copying and pasting the same information to guests. The best way to do this I now realise would be to have a wedding website where everyone can see the information they need, and how the planning is coming along!
xx gemma
Hi there,
After browsing the website for some time it was hard to decide which one would best fit our wedding as they are all amazing and so intricate. But I have to say I absolutely fell in love with bed of roses (http://queenforaday.com.au/invitations/bed-of-roses-invitation.php). Me and my fiancé are really simple people but we like a little elegance and just a dash of colour and this invitation would be perfect! As our wedding is going to be white with splashes of red in it, the invitation completely symbolises us and our wedding.
Our wedding will be in Spring also, so the floral lace and beautiful ribbon would match perfectly.
Snow White! And it perfectly suits my theme, black tie, formal, sophisticated, yet, still whimsical – my fairytale. A dream come true, to wed my prince!
I am totally smitten by the Smitten design.
We’re organizing a highly personalized, partially diy, whimsical wedding to be held in Melbourne.
I’ll be wearing a nearly 75 year old vintage dress and we’ll be exchanging 90 year old rings. Smitten matches the detailing on my dress, but also captures the simple elegance and hand-crafted detail that we’re aiming for.
My favorite invitation is ‘Smitten’
I have yet to encounter a more perfect invitation for my wedding! The delicate beading and gorgeous colours would tie in wonderfully for my ‘Vintage Glamour’ themed wedding.
The tie around the invite is the same colour as the sash on my dress! Which by the way is a fabulous vintage-inspired lace gown 🙂
Everything about the invitation is what I hope to embody on our wedding day. The sweetness, the beautiful intricacies, and the attention to detail.
First of all thank you for a wonderful page with amazing inspiration for our upcoming wedding.
We loved all the invitations on Queen For a Days webpage but our favorite is Spoiled Pretty.
We will have our wedding in Sweden, in a little cute fishing town next to the beach. Half of our guest will be travelling from Australia and half will be guests from Sweden. My fiance Chris is from Melbourne and I’m from south of Sweden so our wedding will be a great mix of two traditions. Our wedding will be this summer, outside, near the ocean with lots of candlelights, pearl decorations, wonderful food and lovely people. Spoiled Pretty will be perfect as our invitation and match the theme of our wedding : water, pearls and elegance!
We would be proud of sending out invitations from Queen For a Day and it would make our wedding so much more amazing.
