Oh Etsy, you always bring the most amazing designers out of the woodwork! Today’s designer profile, comes out of Portland (she ships internationally!) and showcases the work of designer Claire La Faye. Claire started in NYC out converting tee’s into one of a kind red carpet pieces. She started designing for brides in 2010 and hasn’t looked back!
Claire wanted to design with a non traditional approach and I think she nails it – with whimsical details and soft, ethereal fabrics like china silks and silk chiffon. Each garment has it’s own special name too -“Queen For A Day” , “Some Kind Of Wonderful” , “It Must Have Been The Roses” and “Pocket Full Of Posey” amongst my favourites. I love that even though there is a dreaminess to her designs, something about the cuts and the detail makes them bold and a little rockstar.
Claire’s gowns are available through her etsy store and soon in store at Lovely in NYC.

More stunning shots, not sure about the pink hair although!!
Love the dresses. Not sure how formal the shorter designs are, but gorgeously pretty.
Romantic, elegant and sexy! Very talented designer.
