It’s been another week of beautiful weddings, long sunshine filled days and plenty of inspiration. Which means it’s time for our Friday Roundup! A big thank you for your patience with closed comments, things not looking the way they should and little glitches over the past week while we moved to a brand spanking new server!
Firstly though, I want to send a big thank you to everyone who supported out QLD Flood Relief Print Sale with Switchcities– we raised over $1500 and lots of people will have beautiful artwork to hang on their walls! A lot of gratitude today for Scotty and the photographers who donated prints and time for the cause! If you missed out, I have a few more opportunities to help out in today’s roundup for photographers and readers!

Brisbane photographer Marcus Bell of Studio Impressions has come up with two ways to aid Brisbane flood relief. Marcus lives in Brisbane himself and although his studio has been spared, many of his friends, family & clients have been affected.
First up is the print sale. Marcus Bell is selling ten of his amazing fine art prints with all proceeds going to flood relief. Each 24 inch print is printed to the highest quality 300GSM Archival cotton paper. Each is signed by Marcus and is an original award winning photographic work. The prints are $950 each (plus postage and are unframed). The prints represent a saving of 50 to 75% off the normal edition prints. All proceeds from the print sales will go to the Flood relief appeal. Visit his blog to see the prints on sale.
Photographers! This one is for you! Marcus is donating 20% of all photographer resources sales throughout January and February to the QLD Flood Relief Fund. This includes DVDs, textures actions and the five ‘Instant Effect’ presets Marcus has just released. Visit the blog to purchase yours.
Photographer James Day has come up with another QLD Flood Relief Aid, this time a little different! “The Moment Movement” aims to recreate the lost photographs of the QLD flood victims by recruiting photographers from around the country to help replace old memories, recapture old events and restore damaged photographs. To get involved as a photographer or as a beneficiary, visit The Moment Movement website.
