It seems to be the week for amazing creative shoots by Australians and there are a few more that I am very excited to share! This morning we’re visiting Bush Bank in Kiama for a photo shoot with John Benavente and stylist She Designs. I love the fresh white arrangements next to the rustic Australian landscape, which always holds a soft spot in my heart.
The crew got together to show off the period vibe of Bush Bank.” We really wanted to get a vintage feel to the photographs as this was the general feel of Bushbank and the furniture. This included a mix both colour and moody black and white photographs. Our model for the day was Kelly Nealon and I think you would agree on the Marilyn Monroe resemblance.”
I adore the sunshine streaming through these lace lanterns- they look great in daylight or after the sun goes down with fairy lights There’s just something about the fresh white next to a bright blue sky and soft green leaves.
Inspiration for a reception break out area perhaps? Providing a quiet space for guests to retreat to, from the music of the dance floor is always appreciated. Even though this area is set outside, I think there’s no reason you can’t pop a fluffy rug down as an unexpected (but fun!) touch! A mirror is the perfect place for touch ups.
I love this for a ceremony spot, white paper pom poms are a sweet detail and gauzy white fabric blowing in the breeze from the four poles makes the perfect focal point for your ceremony.
I was the bride lucky enough to wear her dress for a second time for this fun shoot with John Benavente. If you’re looking for an amazing wedding photographer – John is THE BEST. And I also had Sheree from She Designs for my wedding – she is INCREDIBLE, she interprets your dream wedding and brings it to life, you have GOT to have her design your ceremony or reception (she did both for me!). And Kiama Bushbank is divine – a beautiful location.
Loving the graininess in some of these photos and the eclectic mix of furniture against the old stone/brick wall. Now, how does one organise to do a photo shoot in their wedding dress again after the actual wedding day – I would love to do something like this in my dress!
