1. Yes, I have considered hiring a wedding planned.
Usually our friends will help co-ordinate at friends weddings, however, we would really like our friends not to stress or run around but to take a seat, put their feet up and enjoy the day and celebrate with us.
1. I have considered hiring a planner but I think it’s too expensive. We would really like to use all of our money for actual wedding stuff.
2. I would think that a planner would cost several thousand dollars (depending on the budget of the wedding).
3. Our next colors after white are black and red.
We would love work with Girl Friday Wedding and to have a wedding planner but I think we just can’t afford it.
1. I would have loved to hire a ‘day of’ planner as there are a few little details I don’t want any of our friends or ourselves to have to worry about. Like lighting all the candles, and setting up the drinks table at the ceremony.
2. I haven’t researched much on planner prices, but I would have thought at least a few hundred for just the day, something we can’t spare sadly!
3. We are avoiding a colour theme, going for a more eclectic feel with different kinds of flowers in an array of colours, and lots of candles to give more of a ‘glow’ than a colour. The bridesmaids dresses are black, to keep them neutral yet stylish, and they will have bright bouquets that should pop.
1. I am seriously considering hiring a wedding planner for the wedding day as I am concerned all the personalised decorative touches we would like to undertake may get forgotten. Also, it would be good to ensure I am no left waiting at alter for my fiance who has a tendancy to get lost and also run late!
2. For full day co-ordination on the wedding day around $1 to $2k. For half a day $500 to $1k. To organise the entire wedding – a lot more
3. We are looking to avoid some of the traditional elements of wedding including colour so leaning towards minimal amounts of white and having lots of colour as we are having a late summer wedding.
1. Yes i have considered hiring a planner but unfortunately doesnt fit into our budget. It would be amazing if we could have the opportunity to have someone be there to make sure that everything ran smoothly and I wasnt stressing out. Instead I could just sit back and relax and enjoy!
2. For a half-day coordinator i estimate around $1500-$2000. For a wedding planner somewhere in the bracket of $5000-8000.
3. I know black isn’t really a colour but that would be something that I would love to coordinate into the wedding. I think there is something so schick and classic as black, ivory & silver…. My ring is sapphire also so I would like splashes of sapphire around the room to tie in with my gorgeous ring.
1. I would love to have a wedding planner on my big day and had considered it. It is such an important milestone in a girl’s life, it would be great to have a professional to help me take care of all the details from small to big so I would have no worries and can really glow on my big day. As a first time bride it would also have been really helpful to get experienced advice on the overall co-ordination of the day.
2. I think I would expect to pay about $2,000 to hire a wedding planner for the whole day. I would expect that the trusted planner would be able to ensure the day runs smoothly and deal with all vendors queries so I would able to relax and have the best memory of my life with my hubby, friends and family on my wedding day.
3. I love spring colours for a spring wedding – I would pick a glowing saffron sunshine colour, sky blue and pastel lavender for spring flowers – a perfect spring day for a beautiful spring wedding. Oh the possibilities!
1. I would love to have someone to help us with our big day! I have considered it, but assumed that planners in Sydney would be out of our price range, we’re looking to spend well under 20k, including sit down reception. However, I also know that I can be a bit of a stress head, and love the idea of handing over the fiddly planning details to someone else and have someone I trust to take care of the final details on the day.
2. I would expect to pay around 1k for planning prior to the wedding, and an hour or two on the day. Up to 2k for more consults prior and to have some there for 5 hours or so on the day.
3. We want to have a winter wedding, and Green will be our main colour, with splashes of pink or purple. That’s the plan at the moment, but it may change! I love green, and want to have a tea-length dress with green silk shoes 😀
1. at the end of the day, i have loved planning all the details of our wedding. i would however, love to have a professional on the day to help, and add their creative flair and touches; as well as making sure the wedding ran to schedule. it would alleviate stress and take the load of us and our family and friends.
2. i would expect to pay 1-2k for a planner in the lead up, and possibly around $800 for the one time services of a ‘day of’ planner.
3. i love the look of vintage and australiana. i love the looks of purples, deep pinks, and the colour of succulents, with some yellow accents.
1. No, we had not even considered hiring a planner. We assumed it would be a champagne cost outside our riesling budget!
2. I would think it would be 1-2 thousand for that kind of help. From what I hear, it don’t come cheap!
3. My colour choice would be a triumph powder blue. It is the colour of my dad’s restored pride and joy that was supposed to be my sister’s formal car, then maybe my formal car, now 10 years from the orignal completion date, it has finally been restored to be the wedding car!
1. Had you considered hiring a wedding planner to help you just for the day of your wedding?
Yes, because I fret about every tiny detail and it’s a Hunter Valley wedding so coordinating from Sydney is proving to be a challenge. BUT I’m a control freak and may struggle to relinquish power 🙂
2. How much would you expect to pay a planner to help you confirm your vendors and coordinate the entire day?
Upwards of $1200 to have the guardian angel on the day. Possibly more as there would be work required prior to contact suppliers.
3. Other than white or ivory, what would your next colour choice be for your wedding day and why?
Already chosen- pink and purple!!! Fun colours!! Fresh and relaxed vineyard wedding…
1. No – because of budget. Wedding coordinators seem like they would be very expensive. Every time I hear people talking about ‘day of’ coordinators I think ‘gee, that would be fantastic’ but am too nervous about contacting potential coordinators because I think they would refuse to take on a small budget/small wedding
2. It’s difficult to say – my concern would be that it would be greater than $1000.
3. We’re using navy, purple and hot pink.
1. I am considering hiring a wedding planner just for the day so I don’t have to worry about anything and just enjoy myself. I wouldn’t consider it in the lead up to the event though – that’s the fun stuff that I want to do myself.
2. Just on the day – I would say $500 or around that price would be acceptable.
3. Pale lemon yellow – it looks so beautiful with the dark green in floral arrangements and outdoor surroundings and has a vintage feel to it.
1. I am really enjoying planning our wedding but would love to be able to handover the controls to someone on the day. Between our self-catering venue and being unable to delegate too much to family as they live interstate – the actual wedding day logistics are making my head hurt a bit…okay more than a bit! So I am considering hiring a wedding day coordinator but as the wedding costs keep mounting up not sure if it’s going to be possible – although I’m sure it would be money very well spent!
2. I’d expect that cost would be dependent on the preparation/admin time and hands-on coordination time required. I think around $80 per hour would be reasonable.
3. We’re not having a colour theme as such but love splashes of vibrant yellow at weddings. It has such a fun, happy and relaxed feel which is everything we hope our wedding is!
1. No, I didn’t consider hiring a wedding planner at all as I quite enjoy planning my own wedding. But I am now considering hiring one just for the day to do the running around as I had initially wanted to rely on guest, but it is a bit unfair and also I don’t have the control that I would like to have. Good idea to have one just for the day
2. $500 for half a day , my wedding venue also has a co-ordinator, so the hired wedding co-ordinator just needs to liase with the venue and not have to stay till end of night.
3. Red. I would love to have a scarlett gown. It is a “look at me colour” and is the colour of happiness, prosperity and good luck in asian culture.
1. Like many others here, we would absolutely LOVE to have a wedding planner – both my fiance and I are currently travelling overseas, and our wedding date is looming – I would adore someone to tie up loose ends and help out with booking the extra things that I can’t get around to doing or seeing until we return a couple of months before the wedding.
2. I have priced a couple of wedding planners, however they are well out of our tight budget and as much as I would love to stretch this out to incorporate one, it’s just not feasible – but I’ve seen it run into the thousands easily!
3. I love aqua blue, jade and dark slate gray! Hoping we can mix this in with our venue site.
1. Had you considered hiring a wedding planner to help you just for the day of your wedding?
Absolutely considered, sometimes I don’t know how it will all fall into place! My Sister and Maid of Honour announced last week she is pregant and due the day after the wedding, so suddenly my right hand girl has become a little less “available”!
2. How much would you expect to pay a planner to help you confirm your vendors and coordinate the entire day?
At least $1,500 – if it was under $1,000 I would definintely look at doing it.
3. Other than white or ivory, what would your next colour choice be for your wedding day and why? A buttercup yellow with an italian/mediterranian feel.
1. Yes. Had considered asking a friend of a friend who is interested in getting into the wedding industry but nothing beats a professional as you know they will do a good job as they have a reputation to maintain.
2.Cost had no idea but have heard they may be able to negotiate better deals with vendors, therefore saving money and stress.
3. Shades of blue. I don’t have a favourite colour but the groom does and it’s blue. My bridesmaid kindly pointed out that it works with the sky and harbour in summer which is our wedding.
1. Had you considered hiring a wedding planner to help you just for the day of your wedding?
Having been in events in a past life, I know how prone I am to wanting to run absolutely everthing on the day. Which is why I am seriously considering a wedding planner! I think part of the fun of a wedding is the actual lead up with the choosing, trying, testing, creating and dreaming – but I want to be able to enjoy the actual day itself and remember not being stressed, but in the moment.
2. How much would you expect to pay a planner to help you confirm your vendors and coordinate the entire day?
For the whole day, I think at least $2500.00. Confirming vendors is not always straightforward, and can take time. The day itself needs someone who is level headed, with experience for the individual type of event a wedding is. I’d pay for that!
3. Other than white or ivory, what would your next colour choice be for your wedding day and why?
I covet the colour Mustard. The warmth, the sun, the light and the vintage all combine to make this wonderfully rich colour. It pops against cream, navy and grey – but allows for coral inclusions.
a. My fiance Luke had a have had an absolute ball planning our day!! But we have often talked about how we would love a “day of” planner to ensure our family, friends and wedding party are not inconviened on the day. Unfortuantley, our budget does not allow for this so we are taking extra steps before the big day so there are no surprises…
b. We have found wedding planners seem to vary on price depending on location and service options but I would intend to pay up to and over $1000. We agreed we would love a planner (if our budget allowed) as the (hassle free) smiles on our guests face will be priceless…
c. Our colours are ivory, antique rose and moss green as we are getting married at a country manor. If we were getting married somewhere more modern I have always LOVED a unique colour gown.. Like soft steel grey, silver OR navy!!!
1. Had you considered hiring a wedding planner to help you just for the day of your wedding?
To be honest, no. Reason being I’ve never heard of anyone else doing it (so no success/horror stories to go by), and I figure such a thing would be too expensive, as all wedding services usually are.
2. How much would you expect to pay a planner to help you confirm your vendors and coordinate the entire day?
From 6 months out from the wedding day, probably $2000-5000 depending on the complexity of the event though and how much assistance was required.
3. Other than white or ivory, what would your next colour choice be for your wedding day and why?
Pink, cause pink goes with everything wedding.
(1)Initially I’d never considered hiring a wedding planner. However, as I plan my very ‘simple’ wedding it has dawned on me that a wedding planner on the day of a wedding would just make sense.
(2) I’d imagine a wedding planner would cost several thousand dollars.
(3) Colours are really difficult! I quite like a bright cherry red.
1. Yes, yes, yes! Don’t get me wrong – wedding planning is loads of fun, but who could say no to a little extra help on the day? I have started to panic about the little details – who will lay out my place cards and favours? Who will meet and supervise caters on the day? And who will transport the orders of service to the church?! It would be an absolute luxury to know that these details were all in the hands of a professional … leaving me to relax with my beautiful bridesmaids and my gorgeous mum.
2. I’d be willing to pay $1,000 – $1,500 to have my worries abolished in this way!
3. Plum! It’s deep and moody, while still being romantic and classy.
1. Had you considered hiring a wedding planner to help you just for the day of your wedding?
If i had extra money, definately yes. Id love to have some help with organizing my big day.
I have no idea where to start and its starting to stress me out a bit
2. How much would you expect to pay a planner to help you confirm your vendors and coordinate the entire day?
about $2000-3000
3. Other than white or ivory, what would your next colour choice be for your wedding day and why?
Grey and Pink
1. I have loved planning our wedding and because we’ve had so much time, I haven’t experienced any of the stress or difficulties that some others experience in the lead-up. I have, however, started to have little dreams of things going wrong on the day. I think this is because everything has been so easy and everyone says that things go wrong 🙁 I have been considering using a wedding planner for the coordination on the day, so that I can continue to experience the stress-free enjoyable lead-up to the wedding.
2. I would expect to pay up to $500 on the day of the wedding for a wedding planner.
3. Charcoal and pink – I think its classy, yet romantic. And Vera Wang says Charcoal is the wedding colour of the season 🙂 🙂
1. I have considered it as I am an Event Manager (for corporate work) and therefore I understand how much work goes into the finer details on the day. I am considering allocating tasks to family but am worried they won’t get the detail right..
2. I would expect to pay around the $1500 mark for on the day coordination and confirmation of vendors in the lead up.
3. My other colours are royal Blue and smoky peppermint green.
xx
1. Sure have! If I don’t blow my wedding budget too much that is. I’m one of those people that has to get it perfect (sure things may/will go wrong on the day) but I’ll try to get it as close to perfect as I can :)! Plus having a wedding that is combining two very different cultures, and going to be not-so-traditional, will be quite confusing to keep perfect if we don’t have someone on their ‘A Game’. And ofcourse – I hate the idea of my family & friends having to do ‘tasks’ on the day – I just want everyone to sit back, relax, and enjoy!
2. I’d expect to pay a planner around $1000.
3. As we are having a mixed wedding and the dominant good luck colour for Chinese and Indian weddings is Red our choice for the wedding day will most likely be a dominant deep red with a supporting palette of reds and hints of gold.
1. I had not previously considered a wedding planner to help just on the day of the wedding – probably because I was not aware of anyone filling this niche, although having this option would be ideal! I feel there is a general perception of wedding planners as someone who gets highly involved every step of the way, which is not every bride’s cup of tea. The idea of having someone just to help out on the day, or at specific times in the planning process, is a very comforting thought (to me)!
2. I have not really investigated prices however friends have paid a few thousand for the services of a wedding planner.
3. I love relaxed, fun colours – after all a wedding is meant to be a celebration! I would opt for soft buttery yellows, rather than traditional white or ivory.
Yes we considered it but as we are flying family from Europe, it just isn’t possible for us.
For someone to organise us on our day, especially with family from overseas unfamiliar with Sydney, if we could afford it we would expect to pay $500-$600 for a half day.
Our main colours are gold and purple, my dress is ivory/gold and bridesmaids are purple.
1. Had you considered hiring a wedding planner to help you just for the day of your wedding?
I find the idea of having minimal responsibilities on the day verrrry attractive. I’d probably only look at a half day or coordination because of budget constraints, but I think it would be ideal to avoid delegating tasks to family members who would like to enjoy the day as much as I would.
2. How much would you expect to pay a planner to help you confirm your vendors and coordinate the entire day?
I’d expect half a day to cost up to $1500, and a full day around $2500-$3000.
3. Other than white or ivory, what would your next colour choice be for your wedding day and why?
We are aiming to maintain an elegant feel- so when we look back on our photos in 20 years time, we don’t cringe at the fads we fell into. We’re using a colour palette of diamond white, slate/pewter grey, black and hints of pale pink. We believe they are a classic combination of colours that will be crisp, elegant and timeless (and won’t clash with the old world decor at our reception venue).
Yes, I am considering hiring a planner to assist on the day so me and FH can have a perfect day with minimal stress. I would expect half a day to cost up to $1000.00 and a full day $2000.00 We are having a classic black and white wedding with a touch of blue in certain areas just for a pop of colour
1. I haven’t thought about having a planner yet because we are having such a small ceremony with an equally small reception. It would be nice to hear what a professional has to say about my plans.
2. I’m not sure how much a planner costs for half a day, let alone a full one. I’d assume somewhere along the lines of 5000$ for a full day…
3. The colors I’d like to use are cream and brown. We have a few accents of red thrown in as well.
1.
I’ve only become engaged in the past month but already I feel so overwhelmed by all the choices and options and how much the word ‘wedding’ seems to attract a premium with vendors. I’m starting to seriously consider that some sort of assistance not only on the day but in the lead up too would be best – I hope this to be my one and only wedding so have had zero experience with planning one (first of my good friends to be married too!!) and really think someone who’s been there before (ie – a wedding planner) will help identify areas that need help both in the lead up and on the day.
2.
I’m frightened by the cost to be honest – a wedding already costs so much and I think it’s a mater of balancing up the value of less stress and strong organisation with the cost. In the vicinity of around $800-$2500 is my guess.
3.
I’ve always considered that I will have a white wedding gown but i don’t want it to be a poofy affair that ignores my everyday tastes and style. We will be having a church wedding and then a garden/historical heritage house reception so want my white gown style to float between the two. Given I’m hoping the venue will be outside in the garden I want other colours to be strongly influenced by the venue. With a Spring wedding I’m thinking this may be a palette of greens, purples, rich brown etc.
1. We had thought about it, as Paul and I both have event experiencve we know how many unexpected things might need attention on the day. It would be nice not to worry about them or ask our family to.
2. The reason we didn’t hire one would be the cost. I would expect to pay between $1,000 – $3,000 for the services of a wedding planner.
3. Blue, it makes me feel calm and peacful and reminds me of the ocean and there are so many beuatiful shades to chose from.
1) I have seriously considered hiring a wedding planner as a present for my fiancee. The venue we have chosen will involve a lot of organisation on the day and I don’t want my fiancee to feel overwhelmed in the weeks prior to and the day of our wedding.
2) The main reason for not hiring a wedding planner would be the inevitable costs involved, which I expected to be in the thousands.
3) I believe our wedding colour scheme involves neutral colours, with table numbers in a bright red and vintage bits and pieces scattered around the space. Our venue is quite colourful itself, with graffiti on the walls.
1. Had you considered hiring a wedding planner to help you just for the day of your wedding?
Absolutely, I know how much work goes into making an event run smoothly and I did not want all my hard work and planning to have to fall down because I was not able to focus on it on the day( plus I have heard the day goes so quickly I did not want to waste a second!) Having the peace of mind that someone is on top of it all means allot to my fiancée and I. So often with weddings you spend so much money on little insignificant things that you forget that the day is about you and your partner’s enjoyment and I feel having a planner frees you both up to enjoy your champagne before it loses all it bubbles!
2. How much would you expect to pay a planner to help you confirm your vendors and coordinate the entire day?
Since I would only need a “day of coordinator” as I wanted to be involved in every aspect of the planning ( bride as a control freak… never!) I would expect to pay around $500 for their presence at the start of the reception and a quick rundown on the week of the wedding.
3. Other than white or ivory, what would your next colour choice be for your wedding day and why?
My colours are deep red and duck egg blue. My fiancée and I both love the colour red for both its bold look and the fact it is rooted in so many whimsical descriptions of love. We also happen to love colour and felt the pop of duck egg blue would represent our personalities and add a fun modern element to what is a rather traditional colour pallet. We wanted to make sure that we stayed true to what we liked rather than what was just traditional and easy.
1. Had you considered hiring a wedding planner to help you just for the day of your wedding?
Seriously, I had not considered this as it is a small wedding and I have 12 months to prepare everything, but as the time gets closer and with so many unexpected things happening, definitely getting a wedding planner would make my life much easier!
2. How much would you expect to pay a planner to help you confirm your vendors and coordinate the entire day?
I would think it would range from $1000 and above.
3. Other than white or ivory, what would your next colour choice be for your wedding day and why?
Definitely pink, because it is a common color and my bridesmaid’s dress can be used for other formal occasions. A common color also means it would be easier for me to source my matching items. I am a practical bride, so whilst I still like my wedding to be magical, I would try to get items that can be re-used in the future for other occasions!
1. Had you considered hiring a wedding planner to help you just for the day of your wedding?
Yes, especially if I can have one like Jlo from the Wedding Planner.
2. How much would you expect to pay a planner to help you confirm your vendors and coordinate the entire day?
I would probably pay $2000 if they ensured that everything ran smoothly and exactly as planned and kept bridezilla happy!
3. Other than white or ivory, what would your next colour choice be for your wedding day and why?
Electric Blue- The perfect colour for a glow in the dark cocktail bar.
1. Had you considered hiring a wedding planner to help you just for the day of your wedding?
I have however being located in Townsville, NQ wedding planners are limited and as such charge..interesting amounts.. Still considering it though…
2. How much would you expect to pay a planner to help you confirm your vendors and coordinate the entire day? Well I think for total coordination $1000-$2000 would be reasonable depending on what was included in that cost.
3. Other than white or ivory, what would your next colour choice be for your wedding day and why?
I love pink – so if I had to pink another colour I would have gone a dusty pink with strong pink touches.
1. No we hadnt considered hiring a planner. We are on a tight budget and thought the cost would be too much to handle.
2. I would expect to pay somewhere between 500-1500 for a planner for the entire day.
3. Another colour choice on my day would be oyster. Its such a creamy colour and would look perfect for a wedding!
1. Had you considered hiring a wedding planner to help you just for the day of your wedding?
Yes I had! As a matter of fact I would like to, but I find so many WPs to have canned ideas on what a wedding should be that it’s off-putting! 🙁
2. How much would you expect to pay a planner to help you confirm your vendors and coordinate the entire day?
500-750
3. Other than white or ivory, what would your next colour choice be for your wedding day and why?
My wedding colors are off-white, vintage pink, champagne and shades of gray. It gives me the vintage feel I’m after. I’m tired of chalk-white weddings as much as I’m tired of Pantone (ie contrasting bright colors) weddings. I want class, elegance and the timeless look of tones on tones.
1. Had you considered hiring a wedding planner to help you just for the day of your wedding?
Yes I have, was very seriously thinking about it.
2. How much would you expect to pay a planner to help you confirm your vendors and coordinate the entire day?
From quotes I have received it can vary from $100’s to $1000’s of dollars.
3. Other than white or ivory, what would your next colour choice be for your wedding day and why?
Blush Pink – the right sort of pink is extremely beautiful. Especially if you are going for a vintage or shabby chic style wedding theme. Teaming a blush pink with peonies would be stunning.
1. Had you considered hiring a wedding planner to help you just for the day of your wedding?
As all of the wedding costs will be covered by my fiance and myself, I never considered it as I didn’t think I could justify it in the budget
2. How much would you expect to pay a planner to help you confirm your vendors and coordinate the entire day?
I expected it to be at least $700 for the day
3. Other than white or ivory, what would your next colour choice be for your wedding day and why?
Definitely red, I am not that traditional of a bride and I love the idea of a more informal wedding, and no one in our family is religious so a red dress would suit the style of the wedding
1. Hiring a wedding planner for the day is definitely something that I am considering. Although my wedding is 9 months away in February 2011, my reception venue is under renovation and won’t reopen until November. Hence, I think it would be quite stressful for me trying to get the whole reception and last minute tasks done in a short time frame. I would definitely appreciate having someone help coordinate the day for me so I don’t need to worry.
2. I would pay minimum $300 for a planner to help coordinate the day.
3. As my wedding would be held in Summer, I would something refreshing and happy. So my next colour choice would be a salmon pink.
1. I’ve thought about having a wedding planner to do the little finishing touches like setting up the reception, and using their expertise with “inside knowledge” of recommended suppliers however due to cost will somehow work around doing it ourselves
2. I’s assuming the cost will be $1000 or more depending what services they provide
3. Our colour choices are yellow grey and white as it looks fresh and vibrant and stays away from pinks
1. Had you considered hiring a wedding planner to help you just for the day of your wedding?
Yes, however I did not know that such a service existed! I was thinking about hiring a wedding planner to coordinate everything, but like so many others I felt put off by the possible cost. No one seems to advertise their prices and as the old adage goes, if there’s no price it’s probably too expensive!
Also, it seems a little sad to outsource such a special and personal moment of your life. That said, you don’t want to have to to worry about anything on the day – so someone for just the day really sounds like the best of both worlds! (particularly if you can get some help with suppliers)
I would like to include some special personal touches, but know that I won’t be able to implement them without help and I want my family and friends to have fun – not to have to worry about the million tasks I have assigned them.
2. How much would you expect to pay a planner to help you confirm your vendors and coordinate the entire day?
No idea really – I guess it would also depend on how much they are saving me – in time, inside knowledge and special relationships with suppliers. I wouldn’t pay more than 5-10% of my wedding budget – and for that I would expect a lot! We’ve already blown the budget on the reception venue.
3. Other than white or ivory, what would your next colour choice be for your wedding day and why?
Still deciding – I’m thinking either a selection of soft colours or else simple black and white. At the moment I’m leaning more towards the former; vintage, homespun pastels with lots of cute touches. I really like the idea of a wedding being personal and relaxed and I think the soft colour scheme would allow for that – plus it really suits our venue. Black and white is elegant and hard to stuff up!
1. No.
2. Nothing, what a waste of money.
3. Ivory. Heavy metal black.
1. Yes we did consider it but the cost was too much and I have a friend who is studying event management and offered to help us.
2. I think that 10% of the wedding cost is reasonable if they are organizing the whole wedding. If they are coming in last minute to assist, then $500-1000 for the day would be reasonable.
3. I am wearing my grandmother and mothers wedding dress (they wore the same dress) so our wedding theme is ‘timeless elegance’ with lots of lace and candles and flowers. Our colors are ivory and purple. Purple because it’s my favorite color and in the bible it’s a sign of a strong woman. Traditionally, it is the color of royalty. Also, my sister is flying in the the UK and bringing orchids with her, and they are purple. So really it was the natural choice!
1. I never considered a wedding planner until I gave birth to our first baby in December last year. We always planned on getting married September 22, 2012 as we met the same date in 2007 and engaged same date 2008 however we thought we’d have children and build a house first and get married later-our priorities have definitely changed and our little one is so time consuming I will definitely look at hiring one on the day if not for the entire process.
2. I’d expect to pay anywhere from $500 onwards depending on what we ask for.
3. Next colour choice for me would be to wear lemon yellow, it looks great on tanned skin and it would represent the birth of our first baby boy who’s our own little ‘ray of sunshine’!
If money were not an issue, I would definately hire a wedding planner. I would love to have insight to their ideas and gauge a second opinion on my own. It would make the whole process so much less stressful.
I believe their services on average would cost from $1500-$5000 but wouldn’t be surprised if it were much more.
I would love vibrant colours of red, yellow, orange & hot pink mixed together for my wedding theme.
