For all the lovely Polka Dot Bride jewel lovers, I have a gorgeous giveaway for you today from jeweler Marlo Noel!
Since she was nine years old, Marlo has been creating jewelry. She started with her mother’s friends and is now creating beautiful pieces for customers all over the world.
Marlo creates pieces using semiprecious faceted briolette stones. The beautifully coloured gems look like liquid crystal lolly drops and would add colour to not only a bridal gown but suit your bridesmaid’s colours beautifully. The faceted stones add extra sparkle to each piece- which have their own names.
Drawing inspiration from her seaside home, Marlo buys her stones from a supplier that cuts stones for the likes of Tiffany & Co. The majority of the stones Marlo uses are bought from the company, based in India, where workers are paid fair wages and work in a safe, clean environment.
Marlo Noel is giving away one gift certificate valued at US$75 to her Etsy store to one lucky Polka Dot Bride reader!
To win, simply visit Marlo’s Etsy store, pick your favourite piece and leave a comment on this entry telling me your favourite piece and how you’d wear it (or have your bridesmaids wear it!) on your wedding day.
As an added bonus, Marlo Noel is offering a 20% discount on her designs until for Polka Dot readers for the month of May. Just mention Polka Dot Bride in the “Notes To Seller” section when checking out on Marlo’s Etsy store and Marlo will contact you with a new invoice.
Competition is open worldwide and closes Tuesday 18th of May, 5pm Australian EST
This competition is now closed.
Amy Necklace … Amethyst. This necklace is beautiful and simple. Plus it’s my birthstone and the color for my wedding. It’s perfect.
Rachel Bracelet .. Sky and London Blue Topaz, Mint Quartz, Amethyst and Iolite. Beautiful pairing of colors.
Madeline I … Coin Pearl and London Blue Topaz. I would love to wear this as my something blue
Anna III Necklace…Pale, Lilac, and Deep Purple Amethyst. Purple is my favorite color and this would be amazing.
Elisabeth Earrings … with Rose Quartz and Amethyst. Beautiful earrings
Anna VI Necklace…Mint Quartz, Aquamarine, and Whiskey Quartz. This is really pretty. I would love to wear it
I would love to wear any of these pieces. I think they’re all beautiful and amazing. My favorite are the amy necklace, elisabeth earrings, and Anna III necklace. It’s so hard to choose.
I adore the Madeline VIII … Coin Pearl and Rose Quartz necklace – it is beautiful and would make the perfect wedding day accessory!
The Kate Earrings are beyond amazing! It sounds boastful, but I think they would go perfect with my red hair.
My favorites are the Charlotte Earrings, because of the beautiful length and the stones involved. Citrine is my birthstone (November), and what I’m hoping to have in my engagement ring–my future intended and I are still in a planning stage as we wait for him to finish his graduate work, so there is no ring quite yet. (Any suggestions of reputable US/international jewelers is much appreciated!) Garnet is my mother’s birthstone (January), though she favors redder shades. Purple is my favorite color, though, so I like them even better with the unusual tint!
I know she’s feeling anxious about watching her “little girl” grow up and start a home of her own. I’d like to wear these for her on my wedding day, as a way of tying who I have been to who I will be. Even as I step away and start a family of my own as wife and (eventually) mother, I’ll always be her daughter.
Drop earrings aren’t her style, but I would like to give her a smaller pair using similar stones and design to wear along with me–our own little secret within the busyness of the day.
The Mary II necklace is stunning and would make the perfect present for my only bridesmaid (my sister!). She will be wearing a gorgeous mint-green dress at our wedding and I’ve been searching for just the right matching jewellery to give her as a thankyou gift – I think this may be it!
I really like the Mary I necklace. It is simple, yet so beautiful. The white topaz stone with silver chain would be beautiful on my bridesmaids with their tiffany blue color dresses.
Kate Earrings…Sky Blue Topaz, Peridot, and Chrome Diopside
These are gorgeous and will look fab with my 1950’s prom pink and white dress! Love Love Love these earrings!
When I first had a peek on Marlo Noel’s site I didn’t think I’d ever be able to choose on one item! But, then the Amy III necklace struck me. The most amazing purples and the simple silver bead detail on each stone make this piece striking yet not overpowering and perfect for each of my bridesmaids. While each bridesmaid is to wear a different dress, the Amy III necklace will tie them all together.
I can’t wait for my girls to see it on the big day!
Stunning.
The rich, deep green of the Kate Earrings…Sky Blue Topaz, Peridot, and Chrome Diopside, would be the perfect complement to my wedding day ensemble. My soft ivory chiffon dress would come alive with the colours of the earrings, and the green would match perfectly my peridot green satin peep toe heels. I also love the sneaky surprise of including jewellery in a bridal bouquet, and my something blue would be suitably filled by the Anna V Necklace wound around the ribbon of my bouquet. Not something that everyone will necessarily see, but adding a little something special just for me on my wedding day.
Well, if I could stop talking about them or showing them off, I’d LOVE to wear the Kate earrings. The blue would be lovely with my engagement ring, and both the blue and green would go beautifully with our colors!
I LOVE the Cassandra bracelet. I can definitely picture myself wearing this for many occasions!
Maribel I Necklace … White Topaz – I’m looking for something really simple for my dress but not the typical pearls. This necklace would be perfect as well as practical to wear again and again.
I love the Raquel earrings – you could wear those with jeans OR with a wedding dress. So great.
Stunning pieces and so hard to choose just one as a fave, but the Alice earrings with sapphire and citrine combine my and my daughter’s birthstones~I would wear them for my wedding and then give them to her. Awesome giveaway!
I’d have my bridesmaids wear the Peyton Earrings because their dresses are the exact same plum shade!
The Madeline III necklace would be perfect with my ivory V-neck wedding dress!
Grace Necklace … Rutilated Quartz This necklace is to die for!
I would have to get the Lucy Necklace – Champagne Citrine pretty enough and neutral to go with everything!!!
the taylor in mint – wouldn’t that be a perfect subtle something blue!
I am in dire need of earrings for the big day ! The elisabeth fit the bill – my favorite colors pink and purple would look great with my bouquet!
I think that my first choice (to be followed by many many more!) would be the leighton necklace. It is the exact shade of blue as a sapphire ring that I wear every day, given to me by my grandmother, who was given it by my grandfather in hospital the day that my mumw as born. The stones were smuggled into the country during the war, and he had them cut and set for my grandmother. I would wear it pinned inside my dress, as close to my heart as I could place it, just for me, and no one else.
Hands down – the grace necklace in quartz. Stunning! Absolutely perfection for the big day!
Maribel IV Necklace… Mystic Pink Topaz Briolette, something new that would perfectly fit with the ruby earrings, something old that is given by mother given to her by my great grandma.
These pieces are amazing!!!
I really love the Mary I necklace. It’s so simple and beautiful. But I think the Avery necklace would make the dramatic statement I’m looking for.
Then there’s the Amelia necklace. That necklace alone is making me rethink my wedding colors!
I love the grace necklace. It’s absolutely beautiful!
I love the Leighton Necklace … Teal Flourite. It would be outstanding with my virgin white lace dress!
I’d wear the Maribel II Necklace … London Blue Topaz to suit my white wedding gown.
I love the gorgeous Olivia III Necklace … Sky Blue and London Blue Topaz, Rhodolite Garnet. I think it’ll look perfect with my pure white wedding gown. It really sparkles!
I love the Anna I Necklace and the Champagne Citrine and Whiskey Quartz would be perfect. My colour scheme for the day is ivory, green and brown – my dress is ivory and green and I need something for my outfit to tie in the brown and this is just the finishing touch I’m looking for.
I’ve been eyeing the Kate earrings for a while now. They match my wedding colors and would be a nice touch for my reception dress!
Oh, this is so hard to choose, but since I’ve been eyeing Avery Necklace … Mint Quartz and Sapphire Briolettes for quite a while now, I’d have to say that. I think it would be the best something blue. I think I’d wear blue shoes to match the main stone.
oo i love the look of the Peyton Earrings … Sky Blue Topaz, Rhodolite Garnet, Iolite they would be perfect as the something blue! =)
I love the Lucy Necklace – Champagne Citrine. I could easily wear this necklace with my gown, if I wasn’t already wearing the gold cross necklace that my Nanna wore when she got married over 60 years ago. I would instead give this Marlo Noel necklace to my little cousin who is travelling up to Sydney especially for the wedding from Adelaide. As we are not having junior Bridesmaids, we are getting her to do a special reading in the Church and it would be lovely to present this necklace to her as a big thank you for being such a special part of my family.
I love the Kate Earrings…Sky Blue Topaz, Peridot, and Chrome Diopside. They’d look so gorgeous on any occasion and they’re in the lovely shade of my birthstone color!
As I am considering not having a bridal party – it seems appropriate that I wear something that is true to my name, stunning yet subtle. The Brooke bracelet is it.
I love the Lucy necklace… so pretty!
I love the Annabel II Necklace… London Blue Topaz.
I think I could wear it in any occasion , which makes me like it even more!
The Avery necklace is beautiful. My dress is very simple so I am going a bit OTT with accesories. This amzing necklace will match my blue shoes!
I can imagine my gorgeous Mum in the Maribel II Necklace, my Mother-in-Law would shine in her Noelle Earrings and the Bridesmaids and myself would shimmer down the aisle in the sassy Raquel Earrings!
Marlo Noel manages to capture every personality, style and taste in her magnificant jewelry!
Thank you for introducing us to this wonderful jeweler.

I love the Rachel Bracelet. i think the combination of blues and purples would suit the feel of my wedding very well.
I would love to wear the Avery necklace for our rehearsal dinner!
The Kate earrings are certainly my favorite, the blue just like my engagement ring, and the green just like my birthstone! Would look beautiful with our wedding colors.
My favourite piece is the Blair Necklace. If I didn’t know better I’d say it had been made for my inspiration board. I’m getting married in a garden with lots of hydrangeas and agapanthus which would be reflected perfectly in the Green Fluorite, Iolite, White Topaz, Amethyst and Keishi Pearl.
The GRACE necklace is simply enchanting. How could a heart-shaped puffy rutilated quartz briolette be anything else! Wearing this would turn me into a fairytale princess!
The Anna III necklace would be perfect for my bridesmaid’s dresses!
I love the Olivia VII Necklace. I want a Grecian inspired wedding and it would just be perfect for my bridesmaids.
