Time for another mix tape! This one is all about the processional. I’m a big fan of wordless songs for this but only included two today!
Here are some ‘different’ choices for your walk down the aisle, different eras, different tempos and a different feel to each. I hope it inspires something for you! (I had to include “At Last” By Etta James, these days it’s almost a crime not to!)
Ooh I like some of those!
Bonus suggestions (look for them on youtube to have a listen to them):
Lior – This old love
Beatles – Here There and Everywhere
Beach Boys – God Only Knows
The Darkness – I believe in a thing called love (I’m half kidding but if you ever find an instrumental of this PLEASE let me know!!)
Great choices…
I’m getting married in 2 weeks and I’m walking down the aisle to “The Winner is” by DeVotchka and Mychael Danna (from the Little Miss Sunshine soundtrack). It’s an AMAZING song, and so beautiful. Check it out, I bet some of you beautiful brides to be might end up using it!
OMG Songbird by Eva almost had me crying… beautiful… ok i’m going to keep listening now but i just had to say that 🙂
I just posted a couple of unusual songs for the bride’s processional. It’s fun to do something different!
What a great mix! I’ll be coming back to it when its time to meet with the DJ.
Ahh! You read my mind. I’ve been thinking about “Heartsbeats” for my processional since we got engaged!
Hi there – I am walking down the aisle to “What’s Simple is True (A Song For Winter)” by Jewel in about 3 weeks time!
Kat – I love ‘This Old Love’ but thought I shouldn’t include it two tapes straight! I love The Beatles too! Will definately keep an eye on that song. I believe there is a crowd that does instrumental CDs of big artists like Metallica. I can’t think of their name but will try and find it!
KJ- I just checked out “The Winner” The buildup will work perfectly in a processional! (that movie was certainly different!)
Mirella – I can never go past Songbird, Eva Cassidy is brilliant!
Sarah – I just watched the video to the song on Youtube, it had me in tears, just beautiful! I can’t believe your wedding is so soon!
It’s a bit of a twist, but for a fun, upbeat bride “Pennies From Heaven” by Louis Prima would be an absolute showstopper!
I may be late to this post, but you’ve got my processional on here and it just made me cry to hear it again! Somewhere over the rainbow 🙂
