About
Professional storytellers

Hi! I’m Will—or “Happy” if you prefer (it’s my actual middle name, true story)—and I’m one half of the creative team behind Finding Happy Photography.

Finding Happy was born nearly a decade ago out of a deep love for storytelling. I’ve always been fascinated by people and their journeys: where they come from, how they got here, and my absolute favorite—how they met the love of their life. That curiosity is the heart of my documentary-style photography. I focus on the authentic details: the flowers you chose, the look on your parent’s face when they first see you all dressed up, or even the quirky lamp by the mirror where you got ready. I want your photos to instantly transport you back to exactly how that moment felt.

If you’re nervous about being in front of the lens, I completely get it—there’s a reason I stay on my side of the camera! Stiff poses aren’t my thing. While everyone says the ceremony kiss is the main event, I think the real magic lives in the in-between moments: the teary first look, the shared cheeky glances, and the wild dance-floor moves at the end of the night.

Personally, I’m a pretty chill guy. I love tabletop games with friends, quiet outdoorsy days, and misadventures (they always make for better stories). On your wedding day, I’m equal parts calm, grounding presence and all-out hype man. If that sounds like your vibe, let me know!

Describe yourself in three words?
Kind, incredible dancer!
Best wedding tip
Be nervous and enjoy the butterflies in your stomach. If it rains, dance in the rain. Everyone is there becuase they want to see YOU have a great time, so don't worry about them. They're all on your side.
My favourite thing about weddings is...
The preparation before the ceremony. The nerves and excitement. The laughs with your closest friends & family getting ready with you. As a storyteller, documenting that part sets up the entire day... And of course I LOVE a pumping dance floor at the end!
Your favourite cocktail
Ahhh... does lemon, lime & bitters count?
