Welcome to the new home of Mindfully Wed
I’ve always had such a soft spot for other wedding bloggers. When I first started Polka Dot Wedding all those many years ago, there was this lovely sense of community. We’d all have blog rolls, those lists of links to other blogs we loved, and we’d take the time to leave comments and cheer each other on. It felt like we were part of something bigger, like we were all building this little world together.
Over the years, as the wedding world grew and changed, that sense of connection shifted, too. Life got busier, the industry became bigger and more complex, and somehow the conversations between us became quieter. It’s something I’ve always missed, but I’ve also understood it. We were all finding our way, navigating new challenges, and pouring our hearts into our own spaces. Through it all, my admiration for so many of those bloggers never faded – if anything, it only grew stronger.
One I’ve admired deeply over the years is Sandra Henri. Sandra founded Less Stuff More Meaning, which became Mindfully Wed, and what always stood out to me was how thoughtful and intentional she was. Every word, every idea came from such a place of heart. I still remember the hours we spent talking about weddings, about blogging, about what it means to help couples create something that really reflects them. When Sandra passed Mindfully Wed to Kat Wray, I felt lucky to have those same kinds of conversations with Kat. Both of these wonderful women poured so much care and integrity into everything they did, and I have nothing but respect for the path they carved out.
So when Kat reached out and asked if I would consider giving Mindfully Wed a new home, I didn’t need to think twice. Her own life had evolved, with her photography work thriving and taking up so much of her passion, and Mindfully Wed needed a place where it could continue. And honestly, for a site that helps couples plan with intention, care and consciousness, I couldn’t think of a better fit than right here.
I won’t pretend we can simply step into their shoes. What Sandra and Kat created is so special, and we’re deeply aware of the responsibility that comes with taking this on. But I promise we will do our very best to honour what Mindfully Wed has always stood for. We’ll take our time, bringing over the beautiful content and tools like the Eco Wedding Footprint Calculator, and we’ll work on new ideas too, like helping you find eco-conscious and like-minded vendors.
I hope, as we go, we can do Mindfully Wed justice. We are so grateful to have the chance to try. Thank you for being here for this next chapter.
Mindfully Wed is now part of Polka Dot Wedding: what you need to know
What happened to Mindfully Wed?
Mindfully Wed has found a new home here at Polka Dot Wedding. With Kat Wray moving on to focus on her photography business, we were honoured to take over and give the site and its mission a new space to grow.
Will the old blog posts still be available?
Yes. We’re gradually bringing the archives over to Polka Dot Wedding so they’ll be preserved and easy to find. You’ll start seeing them pop up in our features, roundups and tools over the coming months.
What about the Eco Wedding Footprint Calculator?
It’s coming too. We’re working behind the scenes to bring it into our site so it’s still accessible to couples who want to plan in a conscious, sustainable way.
Is the Mindfully Wed e-guide still available?
It will be soon. We’re making the Mindfully Wed e-guide available in our shop shortly so you can access it any time.
How can I find eco-conscious vendors and planning content now?
We’re working on it. Over the next little while, we’ll be making changes across the site to help you find eco-conscious content and like-minded vendors more easily. It will take a bit of time, but it’s a priority for us and something we’re really excited about.
I’m a current Mindfully Wed vendor. Will my listing still exist?
If you were listed on Mindfully Wed, we’d love to invite you to the Polka Dot Directory. Please reach out to us or check your email for more details about the transition.
Where can I follow along now?
You can find everything at polkadotwedding.com, and follow us on Instagram at @polkadotwedding for updates, inspiration and vendor love.
