From a classroom connection at university to a proposal beneath Mt Fuji, Cooper and Jordan’s love story has always been about meaningful moments – and their wedding day was no exception. Held at Cooper’s childhood home in the Adelaide Hills, their chic cocktail celebration was a beautiful blend of sentimentality and style.
With elegant custom fashion, their beloved pup, Rio, as the ring bearer, and DIY details crafted by the couple themselves, the day felt deeply personal and endlessly joyful. Captured beautifully by Jacob Jennings and CC Films, this wedding was full of open-air magic.
Their love story started at university, with shared classes and an instant connection. But it was a trip to Japan that marked the next chapter. Cooper, with a ring hidden away in his suitcase, waited for the perfect moment. And when they reached the foot of Mt Fuji, he asked Jordan to be his forever.
Dressed in classic black suits from Peter Shearer Menswear, Cooper and his groomsmen looked equal parts timeless and refined. The clean lines and polished finish were the perfect complement to the chic, cocktail vibe of the day.
And of course, they had to include their beautiful fur baby Rio as their ring bearer – dressed in an adorable bowtie collar!
Jordan’s chic gown was custom-made by Caleche, inspired by her love of bows and finished with a stunning one-shoulder design. Her wedding party wore beautiful breathable linen dresses from DISSH, with an off-shoulder neckline to match Jordan’s one-shoulder look.
Created by Adelaide Hills Flower Studio, Jordan’s bouquet was filled with white orchids, hydrangeas, arum lilies, and tulips. Each of her bridesmaids carried one of these flowers, bringing the whole look together.
Their venue for this chic wedding was Cooper’s family property in the Adelaide Hills. “As Cooper grew up at this home, it was a special and sentimental place for us to tie the knot, and feel so lucky that our children one day will be able to grow up on this same property,” Jordan shared.
As guests entered the ceremony space, they walked down ‘memory lane’, a pathway made up of framed photos of Jordan and Cooper hanging from the olive trees.
As Grace Davies’ cover of “Iris” by The Goo Goo Dolls, Jordan began her walk down the aisle with her father on her arm.
The ceremony was meaningful and bursting with emotions. Their guests described it as wholesome, with no readings but personal vows from both Jordan and Cooper.
As a surprise, the couple wanted both of their mothers to be their witnesses and managed to keep it a secret until they announced it at the ceremony.
Some of Jordan’s favourite photos, captured by Jacob, were these shots taken straight after the ceremony, where both her and Cooper’s faces are lit up with pure happiness.
Behind the lens was Jacob Jennings, whose relaxed approach and warm presence helped set the tone for the day. “He made us feel extremely relaxed and comfortable,” Jordan said. The kind of photographer who not only documents your day, but makes it better just by being there.
All of their decor, signage, canapés, marquee lighting and most of the desserts were all DIY’d by Jordan and Cooper – creating a beautiful cocktail reception vibe that they had full control over.
The vendors they did have for their reception, like Olympic Party Hire and Kelsey Cottage Cafe & Catering, blew their expectations out of the park. “All of our vendors were incredible and we would highly recommend every single one of them!”
The top five things that made their chic cocktail wedding so special to Jordan and Cooper included:
“1. Having our fur baby Rio as part of the ceremony.
2. Having siblings in the bridal party.
3. The wedding location was Cooper’s family property.
4. Jordan’s dad had a photo of her and her late grandfather sewn into the inside of his tie, which he surprised her with on the day so that her grandfather could be there with her as she walked down the aisle.
5. Open-air reception and dance floor vibes!”
For their first dance, Cooper and Jordan chose “Angels” by Robbie Williams: a song woven into both their childhoods. It was a meaningful choice kept secret from their parents until the very moment the music began to play.
The dance itself unfolded in beautiful stages: the couple shared the first part of the song together, before each inviting their mother and father onto the floor. They came back together as their wedding party, and families joined in.
Huge thanks to Jacob Jennings for capturing every heartfelt moment, and the biggest congratulations to Cooper and Jordan on such a beautiful celebration of love.
