Perfectly intimate, flawlessly styled and meticulously planned, Tracey and Shane’s romantic elopement was everything they’d ever dreamed of. Set at the beautiful The Point in Tasmania, these two love birds married exactly 25 years after the day they met! The whole day was beautifully captured by Omar from By The Wilde, and now we get the privilege of sharing it.

Shane and Tracey met 25 years ago at a party to celebrate the completion of the Bolte Bridge in Melbourne. “Shane worked on the project, and I went with a girlfriend who worked for the same construction company as Shane. It was a spectacular night with gorgeous views of Melbourne.”

They knew very early in their relationship that they wanted to commit to each other and were engaged soon after. “However, through a number of challenges that came along the way, we would wait many years before finally becoming husband and wife.”

Shane had his stunning midnight blue suit made by Patrick from The Bespoke Corner Tailors in South Yarra, Melbourne. “He had our initials embroidered inside the jacket and the date of our wedding embroidered underneath the jacket collar – a nice touch!”

Dressed in a romantic olive green silk dress from Sass & Bide, Tracey looked ethereal. “I loved it from the moment I saw it and felt very comfortable on the day with no regrets. This was a second marriage for both, so no need for the white bridal gown.”

One of Tracey’s favourite moments from this romantic elopement was the anticipation of seeing each other for the first time once they were dressed. “We stood and held hands, each on a corner of the home, and very slowly turned the corner to face each other.”

Since their elopement was intimate, there were no guests or wedding party – just the two of them and their wedding helpers/vendors!

They stayed two nights in the beautiful The Point in Sandford, Tasmania. Their elopement was on the first day of their stay, and then they spent the second day relaxing in their post-marital bliss and exploring the surrounding area. “We included a chef, which was a great decision. Outstanding memories!”

They chose to walk together along the property to meet their celebrant, not wanting to miss a single moment together.

Tracey chose a simple bouquet full of romantic, soft pink and white roses, and for the ceremony, she picked out hydrangeas created by The Romantics.

With only their celebrant, their photographer (By The Wilde) and their wedding planner (Dear Leone) in attendance, the ceremony was perfectly intimate. “We prepared and read our own vows, straight from the heart and long overdue – it was very emotional.”

Some of their favourite photos was from this moment right after the ceremony when Shane popped the champagne and they celebrated in their own happy bubble! “There were so many special moments; the hair and make-up went like a dream. When we first saw each other before the ceremony. Exchanging our speeches, our vows, exchanging our wedding rings (so symbolic), and finally opening the champers and feeling excited and overjoyed.”

Omar from By The Wilde was their photographer for the day, and in Tracey’s words, “He is simply a beautiful soul. He gently guided us on the day, and we couldn’t be happier with the results!”

Gelisa from Dear Leonie was the mastermind behind their romantic elopement, and Tracey fell in love with everything she created! “Gee from Dear Leonie is a treasure. The team she has around her is all very talented, and they only want to provide the best they can for your big day. We are so grateful to Gee for putting our special day together, love Gee :)”

After their wedding portraits were finished, Tracey and Shane were given a few moments to soak in the day and bask in each other’s presence. “It was a special time together.”

The best advice Tracey and Shane want to leave for our readers is this: “If your wedding plans are overwhelming you, consider eloping – this was the best decision we made!”

After everyone had left for the day, Tracey and Shane danced to many songs throughout the evening. But the one that really stuck in her head as their first dance was “Lov Me, Luv Me” by Samantha Cole and Shaggy, which played after their vows. “It was so much fun to help us celebrate; we were finally married!”

Please join us in congratulating Tracey and Shane! Thanks to By The Wilde for capturing and sharing.
