With a shared love of nature, it was no surprise to Belinda or Mxolisi that their engagement shoot took place at Howard Springs Pine Forest in the Northern Territory. Their enchanting African forest engagement shoot with Naomi Hill was the perfect pre-wedding activity. “Naomi was great to work with; she made us feel at ease, directing the shoot and helping us with the poses,” Belinda explained. “It was fantastic; she is such a great young photographer who loves what she does. I loved her laid-back, chill vibe.”

They wanted their engagement shoot to be different, but above all – memorable. The couple wanted it to incorporate their African cultural heritage and burst with vibrant colours and textures.

Belinda and Mxolisi met at the Mpilo Hospital in Zimbabwe when she was in nursing school, and he had travelled over for a post-graduate course. “Mxolisi was a secret admirer for years before he was brave enough to ask me to be his girlfriend,” she shared. “We dated for a little while and decided to get engaged just before he relocated to Australia in 2006.”

Belinda loves how Mxolisi is an all-around good guy with a kind, humble, and calming aura. “He is a hard worker who always goes above and beyond for people he loves. He is the best hands-on dad to our children. Above all, he loves me and shows me he does all the time,” she described.”

Mxolisi loves Belinda’s lovely personality. “She is the organiser of all family stuff, including kids’ activities. She makes sure the house is clean and prepares meals for the family. She is hard-working,” he shared.

Belinda and Mxolisi got married in June of last year, so please join us in congratulating the happy couple on their magical nuptials! Thanks to Naomi Hill for capturing the couple’s beautiful, vibrant essence.
