This Barbie-inspired wedding shoot is one for the history books. It’s fun, incredibly glamorous, and of course, has an abundance of pink! At its heart, it’s a celebration of the wedding and event industry’s incredible talent. Every detail was meticulously planned and the end result? An uber fun-filled day that was nothing short of spectacular.

Leading the charge on this spectacular shoot is Melanie Jane, the brains behind MJWED Events, and the force responsible for planning, coordinating, styling and designing, as well as putting together the floral and balloon displays (we can’t imagine her being busy on the day, at all!). Melanie tells us she spent hours (upon hours) searching for the best of the best creatives to collaborate with, and as you will see from the list of professionals involved, she well and truly came through with the goods.

Kicking off this impressive list of creatives is photographer Sarah Taylor of Fire N Honey Images and Cinematographer Creative Haus who both captured every moment with exquisite precision, ensuring that every aspect of this luxe event was immortalized in style.

Behind the scenes, the creative genius of  By Heidi and Caitlin Zagami MUA ensured that every shot was nothing short of perfection. The disco ball install by Out Of The Dark Lighting added a touch of sparkle to the proceedings, while Chaos and Petals worked their magic on the second balloon installation, the bubble house, and the rose gold shimmer backdrop with balloons.

When it came to indulging the taste buds, Conk and Co served up delectable catering, and Hello Little Crumb wowed everyone with a stunning wedding cake. The charming favours were courtesy of Hearts of Cupid, adding a sweet touch to the festivities.

As for the fashion, Etre Marie Bridal provided the bride’s dream dress, while Billy J Boutique supplied the pink cocktail dresses. Accessories, including neon headbands, pearl bride headbands, and sunglasses, were provided by Neon Noggin, and the bride’s jewellery was elegantly curated by Black and Bloom. The models, Elke Kendrick, Jacinta Cahill, and Hanna Shae, looked absolutely stunning, thanks to the expert hairstyling by Ark and I Hair and the flawless makeup by With Philipa.

Velvet Rope Entertainment brought the party to life with their entertainment, and Event Letters and Party with Lana added a touch of sparkle with their lighting and balloon installations onto ‘BRIDE’ light-up letters. To tie this all together, Mel decided that The Lussh was the perfect venue for this glamorous affair.

Mel tells us what it was like seeing this shoot come together. “When I came up with the concept for this shoot, it was like a little girl’s dream come true – I actually squealed with excitement seeing the showgirls all dolled up on the day! I wanted every little detail to be perfect and flow through the table styling, the florals, the graze, the signage, the custom chocolate heart favours, right through to the showgirls and their gorgeous glitz and glamour!”

Signage was beautifully handled by The Confetti Gift Co, adding a personalized touch to the celebration, and Mr Consistent ensured that the beverages flowed effortlessly throughout the day. We’ll cheers to that!
