After meeting “the modern way – online!” the charming winery wedding of Annemarie and David was free of fuss; instead, the couple kept their guest list intimate, their day supported by family and friends (who did everything from making Annemarie’s beautiful gown, to marrying the couple!) for a day. It was just, as evidenced by the photos captured by Jean Bremner Photography as they wanted, says Annemarie “The ceremony and the reception reflected us as a couple. Surrounded by a small group of close friends and family, the location felt very comfortable and ‘right’.”
Annemarie and David loved visiting venues, and their ultimate choice for both ceremony and reception was beautiful The Riverstone Estate set within the Yarra Valley.
Classic bouquets of white, including white roses, tulips, andromeda and lisianthus as well as the leather fern were created by The Little Flower Shoppe.
Annemarie had her cousin make her wedding dress. “I designed a dress with a family member’s help, with a lace bodice and chiffon skirt. No veil. I had seen this dress in a wedding magazine but as it was not available in Australia, I needed to find a designer and dressmaker I trusted to bring it to life. I wore my mum’s earrings which I used to watch her put on for special occasions when I was a little girl.” The couple’s wedding party was filled with their favourite people. “We have nieces and sons, wearing grey suits and floating dresses of dusty pink chiffon. My mum was my Matron of Honour, wearing a dusty pink dress and jacket.”
Annemarie walked down the aisle ahead of her parents to Pachelbel’s Canon in D.
The ceremony was conducted by a friend of the couple tells Annemarie. “Our ceremony was warm, intimate, with our celebrant being a friend of ours. Included a reading from my sister – “The Bridge Across Forever” (Richard Bach). We had referenced to passed loved ones at the beginning of our ceremony and we wrote our vows.”
“Jean Bremner was wonderful” raves Annemarie of their photographer. “As someone I already knew through work, I completely trusted her to the task and we were thrilled with the results! During the ceremony, I don’t recall noticing where she was until we were signing the certificate. She completely blended in and captured so many special moments.”
Congratulations to you both Annemarie & David. Thank you for allowing us to share your special story. Congratulations to you both and thank you to Jean Bremner Photography for sharing today’s images with us.
