On my daily walks I pass a very old and huge olive tree laden with unripe olives in an old front garden of an old house – what life this tree must have been a part of over the years! It reminds me that the simple things are often rare things of beauty. And so it is with Olmo Weddings’ style which lead photographer Raúl describes as ‘minimalist’. ‘Olmo’ is the Spanish word for Elm and “a tree that symbolises Spanish towns and witnesses the daily life of the towns’ inhabitants” – it symbolises growth.

So it is that Raúl is an international photographer who travels the world. His images take in the surroundings where often the couple are dwarfed by the landscape that surrounds them – creating a feeling that is unique and natural to each couples’ story. And that is where the beauty and power of these minimalistic images lies – it leaves space for the viewer’s imagination.
