We asked Khan of MK-Pixels Photography five questions in five minutes:

Weddings are the best to work on because….

Weddings are truly magical and special to us as photographers because they are a celebration of love and commitment. Every wedding is unique and filled with so many heartwarming moments, from the first look to the first dance, and it is a privilege to be able to capture these memories for our clients. The love and emotions that are present on a wedding day are what make this job so fulfilling and special to us.

What is something people would be surprised to know about your job or something that challenges you about your job?

As wedding photographers, the most difficult part of the job is not being able to partake in the unlimited supply of champagne and drinks at the reception! It’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it and make sure all those special moments are captured on camera. But in all seriousness, the art of capturing a couple’s love story on their big day is a privilege, and the pressure to perform at the top of our game is always present. But at the end of the day, seeing the joy on our clients’ faces when they receive their photos makes all the hard work worth it.

What is it about the creative process that you most enjoy?

Oh boy, where do we even begin with the creative process? It’s like a love affair, really. We love to get lost in the art of capturing those fleeting moments, giving life to our wildest imaginations, and adding a dash of magic to every shot. It’s all about the heart and soul we put into each image, creating something that is not just beautiful but full of love, laughter, and emotion. And the best part? Seeing the look of pure joy and amazement on our clients’ faces when they see the final product. It’s like hitting the jackpot!

What are you hilariously bad at?

When people ask us to take a photo on their phone, we sometimes struggle with knowing which camera feature to use. We can usually figure it out eventually, but it’s always a funny moment when we’re trying to navigate a new device in front of a crowd of people! Despite these moments of embarrassment, we always try to keep things light and fun and bring a positive energy to every shoot.

When you were small what did you dream of being and where have those dreams taken you?

When I was young, I always dreamed of becoming a pilot and traveling the world. Although I took some flying lessons, I was never able to pursue a career in the industry. But, photography has opened the same doors for me in a different way. As a destination wedding photographer, I am now able to fulfil my dream of exploring the world and capturing precious moments along the way. It’s amazing how my passion for creativity and storytelling has taken me on this incredible journey.
