 The Farm Cafe is located in Abbotsford and has a special place in the hearts of Melburnians. Just by the Yarra River this 7 hectare oasis only 5 kms from the CBD, is a beautiful place with an apiary, animals, regular farmer’s markets and a real country feel right near the city. So a wedding here is just the ticket if you want a beautiful location, genuine hospitality  and a sense of country charm.

From their Farm Table Catering, choose from a seated menu of delicious shared grazing platters (my mouth is watering) or a cocktail menu – with menu upgrades an especially nice feature with items such as wedding cakes (Ginger cake with lemon cream cheese icing?) or cheese towers. All served outdoors (or in a tipi or marquee) on the The Stables Paddock or indoors with the rustic charm of the 1895 The Barn (yes the cows still get milked here everyday!) along with The Farm Cafe which overlooks the Collingwood Children’s Farm and surrounds. Off site catering at your choice of venue is also available.

Decor can be kept simple or you have the opportunity to create something lush with abundant flowers and foliage or even chandeliers which look especially beautiful against the rustic surrounds.

Your event planner will assist you with everything from seating plans, menu planning and recommending great vendors, and on the wedding day will meet you and ‘facilitate your ceremony, event setup and coordinate your vendors onsite’. Your event supervisor will be there to coordinate food and beverage service, look after your guests and ensure everything runs smoothly on the day.
