When we put our heads together to brainstorm for the October issue at Polka Dot Wedding, we soon decided we wanted to focus again on a location within our beautiful, wide & wonderful country. We feel so much joy when we shine a spotlight on our states and all they have to offer the wedding industry that has been hit so hard for so long now. Vendors banding together to help each other through tough times, working with couples to either create a new dream wedding or to postpone one that cannot be replanned, and all while still being wildly talented and celebrating breathtaking love stories.

So October at Polka Dot Wedding is  The South Australia Issue! Boasting some of the aridest parts of Australia as well as some of the lushest countryside and epic coastlines, the fourth largest state in Australia has some absolutely beautiful wedding locations and super talented Australian wedding vendors to boot. When we think of South Australia, we are immediately drawn to its illustrious wine country and its inherent heritage Australiana vibe!

We’re diving into one of the state’s most well-known trademarks – Opals! A bit of their history and why they’re a perfect wedding party gift. We explore stunning photography locations for your love shoot or wedding portraits with South Australian photographers. We hear from wedding & event stylists from the state on why getting married in SA is so special! Our resident honeymoon writer sends on some pretty fabulous & unique South Australian honeymoon activities through the wine country, and we are inspired by all things Australiana and quintessential outback style. Ms Honeycomb has some brilliant DIY tutorials ready & waiting to hit your screens. And of course, as always, without fail, we feature beautiful love stories and inspiration for our couples – just with a little South Australian spin!
