We know, that in a year when weddings can almost seem too hard sometimes, that elopement is definitely on the cards, SO we plan to fill your spirit and your soul with all the most beautiful elopement inspiration we can find.
Today, we’re headed to the Blue Mountains National Park, thanks to the vision of NSW photographer Tessa Cox . Tessa had a dream you see, a dream to inspire couples to dive into what it means to elope. “I wanted to showcase a different way of getting married, a way that is still just as amazing” she explains. “When eloping, the possibilities are endless, so why not exchange your vows & pop champagne on the edge of a cliff.”
Tessa gathered together a dream team, that included floral designer Poppies for Willow. A simple bouquet of champagne toned dried blooms just the boho, modern style that was needed. Our “newlyweds” models Barbara and Johnny, prepped for the day at Old Dairy Katoomba. Barbara wearing a beautiful lace gown (so romantic) from designer Angela Osagie Bridal, her look completed with hiking boots and her hair and makeup styled by Beauty by Miss B.
The couple hiking to the peak of the mountains to say their vows, before enjoying a private picnic, of champagne, strawberries, macarons and cheesecake to celebrate. Says Tessa “I wanted to feature the ‘care-free feeling of eloping. From those intimate moments of exchanging vows to the couple just being fun and not taking things too seriously.”
As with everyone we feature on Polka Dot Wedding, this is an elopement that encourages you, to be you, to do what it is your heart desires. And if that is hiking boots and cheesecake on your wedding day, let this be the affirmation that that idea? Is utter perfection.
