It’s a big year for Australian bridal designer Karen Willis Holmes. The designer celebrating twenty years of designing gowns for Australian brides and celebrating, by beginning another two decades of making beauty happen.
Today, we introduce you to “Lumiere” the designer’s newest bespoke collection. It’s on-trend, it’s beautiful and it’s everything you love about this designer’s creations
“Lumiere” is all about marrying classic silhouettes with contemporary, modern fabrics like honeycomb mesh, scattered seed pearls, cinched in waists and oh my favourite detail of all – polka dot tulle.
Let’s talk gowns – “Audrey” is, of course, my leading favourite, with her sweet polka dot tulle and chic structured bodice, There’s “Blythe” with pearl dotted flared pixie sleeves and “Esther” with her almost architecturally styled pleated bodice detail, also worth a look. This is a collection of eight beautiful pieces and they all can be customised just for you.
And that’s the point, and the most lovable aspect of Karen’s bespoke collection, because these gowns? You can change the sleeve, change the colour, choose your lining, whether it’s finished with a button back or tie detail. And? Each gown is handcrafted just for you.
And we can’t help but fall in love with the collection, thanks to the campaign shoot at the most beautiful house, thanks to Bhen & Co. Photographer Gretl Watson-Blazewicz teaming up with model Laura Dewit, and makeup artist Ali Buss to show off the beautiful gowns. Completed with pretty pieces and sparkle from Meggan Morimoto, Amelie George, Sam + Franki, CA Jewellery and Krystle Knight Jewellery.
“Lumiere” launched in February and can be found at Karen Willis Holmes boutiques around the globe. Find your nearest stockist by visiting the website.
