If you’re after a fun foodie touch to add to your wedding day, say a big hello to The Gelato Bike! It’s a one-of a-kind, custom made trike filled to the brim with deliciousness. Have a browse through their flavours list below. They sound wheelie good (sorry) and your mouth will totally be watering by the end. Today, we chat with Matt Bragg of The Gelato Bike (and The Wedding & Event Creators) about how this incredible business came to be, popular packages they offer for weddings, plus personalisation options such as stickers for your cups and cones. Love it!
Where are you based?
Gerringong, NSW.
Is your gelato made locally?
It sure is! Our gelato is made fresh every week by The Pines Dairy in Kiama. It is made on the farm using their cows and sourcing all their ingredients locally. It really is the best of the best!
How did you come up with the idea for a gelato bike?
For years and years I was trying to come up with a reasonable excuse to have 100 litres of gelato in our house at all times! The Gelato Bike ticked all the boxes!
How long have you been in business?
We launched The Gelato Bike in February 2019, but have been running The Wedding & Event Creators for almost 10 years now.

Tell us more about your personalisation options…
We offer personalised sticker packages for your cones or cups if you would like to have a message or your names printed on them for the day. We also have a range on umbrellas that you get to choose from to go on the bike that best suits your theme.
You offer hire and styling services. What’s involved with that?
As we also own The Wedding & Event Creators we have access to a huge amount of hire items. I would definitely recommend jumping on that website or checking our @wedeventcreators.
Is it true bridal couples can style the bike to their wedding?
We do have a standard we that we will always style the bike but if the couple do want to specify certain styling aspects we are always happy to accomodate.

Do you travel for weddings?
We sure do! We cover everywhere from Sydney, Canberra, Blue Mountains, Illawarra, South Coast and Far South Coast. Our riders have to stay very fit with all the travelling!
Favourite wedding you’ve been a part of in the last year?
It is so hard to pick just one as its always a great time when The Gelato Bike rolls on but I would have to say that one we had at Bamarang Bush Retreat a few months ago where all the guests were crazy good musicians and were all taking turns jamming for the entertainment was so much fun!
What trends have you noticed in weddings lately?
Couples want to give their guests an experience. Something that is “Insta worthy” and we have found that The Gelato Bike not only serves awesome dessert but has a really cool look that also ticks that box.
