Always striving to create artistic and unique images, Nigel of Nigel Unsworth Studios composes each image with an artist’s eye. There is something so elegant about the light shining through a veil onto a bride’s face, or through a dress, showing it in all its beauty and Nigel is a master at using off camera lighting to play up the delicacy and atmospheric quality of the image. His images tell stories of moments, and are dramatic with a fine art quality – in no small part because Nigel personally takes the images and then edits the images to produce the best possible collection. Loving the images as you pore over your album at each anniversary – well, that is the measure of success!!
We asked Nigel from Nigel Unsworth Studios five questions in five minutes:
What is the most important piece of advice you can give to engaged couples?
Do your research and ask lots of questions. With photography, ask to see a whole wedding and don’t just go off what is on the website. On the wedding day, relax and have fun.
Tell us about a hidden talent you have?
I paint, not sure if you’d class it as a talent though ha ha. No one except my daughter has seen any of my paintings.
As a vendor, what excites you about the wedding day?
The fact that everyone is in a great mood, excited and ready to party. I also like the fact as a photographer I can create wedding images that are improvised.
What are you known for?
My passion for photography according to my clients – and my style of photography.
If you could choose a song to play for the rest of your life what would it be?
Paranoid Android – Radiohead.
