Are you still in love with boho wedding style? After thirteen years of writing about weddings, we still love the ethereal beauty that bohemian styling brings. Today, we’re all about the deep sage and orange tones brought to life with flowers and styling by The Little Style Co, the country setting of the beautiful Quarry Farm, the touches of copper and the macrame details by The Fibre Eclectic. The combination? Utterly striking.

It was an editorial inspired by the beauty of Ireland, although a long way from Australia, the team took the wanderlust ethos of the country and were inspired to create something a little special.  It’s a carefree, vagabond way of life.” Photographer Zoe Theiadore of Ebony Blush Photography who photographed the session, described the team’s inspiration as “The editorial was drawn from the old meets new elements of nomadic life, devoid of the traditional wedding look. A bohemian romance. To be connected to the countryside, natural elements (copper, wood, seasonal blooms).”

Our barefoot bride, Maxie Kerfoot, embodied every bit of the boho styling, her feet painted with traditional henna designs by The Henna Leaf, complementing her dreamy beaded  Loui Col gown and hair and makeup by Covet Cosmetic Studio making the most of her auburn hair. Her bouquet a beautiful combination of yellow, pink, marsala and orchid white tied with romantic silk ribbon.

After saying their vows at the golden hour of dusk, under a copper, macrame filled arch, our newlyweds adjourn to their reception, stopping along the way to take it all in at an outdoor lounge setting under wooden beaded chandeliers to a long table set with handmade ceramics by Miss Willow Designs and cut crystal glassware and taper candles under a cascade garland of festoon lights,  by Synapse Lighting. The table finished with fresh Peonies, Amaranthus, Stirlingia, locally-grown Morrison and the sweet-smelling Silver Dollar Eucalyptus, the flowers complementing fabric printed menus designed by Butterfly Days and flatware pieces from Marielle Studio. The devil is in the details, each carefully considered. Handpainted feathers, linen and silk napery and the quote ‘- and at this moment, I swear we are infinite – unknown’ printed on each guests’ menu.

And in a shoot filled with beautiful boho, what could be a better finishing touch than a macrame adorned wedding cake? Petit Poh bringing the goods in one splendid masterpiece.

And with the magic always happening after dark, as the lights came on, and the candles lit, the newlyweds celebrate their new adventure.
