I have to be honest and say that chai is one of my favourite treats on an Autumn day, but a dirty chai? When I want a little caffeine and something with a little more hit, I’m all about it. So today? We wanted to make it into a very Autumnal and very delicious cocktail, Whip this one up to serve to guests before your autumn wedding ceremony, or just at home tonight on the couch (we won’t tell!). This one is best topped with whipped cream, if you’re feeling a little decadent!
Ingredients (serves two):
- 4 teaspoons of chai tea
- 250ml water
- 250ml milk
- 60ml Coffee Liqueur (we love the cold drop version from Aussie brand Mr Black)
Method:
In a saucepan, combine 4 teaspoons of chai tea with 250ml of water
Bring to a simmer
Add 250ml of milk and stir well
Bring to a simmer for 5 minutes (longer if you want extra flavour!)
Take off the stove and add coffee liqueur, stir well
Pour into mug or teacup and top with whipped cream
