Kindy & David
You know how much we love a simple celebration around these parts, and Kindy and David chose the best kind of simplicity for their wedding. This beautiful lunch time celebration was set against the lush green vineyards of the Yarra Valley and – as captured by Twentyone Photos – it was all about family, friends and celebrating a love story that culminated from an intimate proposal at a Melbourne hotel.
Kindy tells of how they met: “We initially met on an online dating website just over three years ago. Although we both come from hugely different backgrounds, over time we understood that we have much in common and have built strong confidence about an exciting future together.”
David and Kindy chose Stones of the Yarra Valley for their wedding. The bride noting, “To make our wedding memorable we understood that we didn’t want to have it at just any venue. The Stones of Yarra Valley was the obvious choice with its natural photo-perfect setting surrounded by grapevines. Our chosen venue also meant we could stay within the same place for the ceremony and formal celebration.”
Kindy tells, “We were extremely fortunate that my father, all the way from Vietnam, was able to walk the bride down the aisle.”
Of the ceremony, the bride remembers, “The chapel at The Stones was a cozy and abundant setting with natural light which created a perfect setting for our ceremony. It went with a full Catholic Mass.”
Of their dream for the day, Kindy tells, “Our wedding was simple with a garden, trees and flowers. We wanted everyone to feel comfortable and enjoy the day.”
Of their photographer, Kindy remarks, “We were recommended Tuan by a relative to look after our wedding photography. Tuan did exceptionally well in capturing our special day and we were blown away by the amazing quality of all the photos and albums. Tuan is a true artist that truly knows who to capture photos of in special occasions to create long-lasting happy memories. Tuan also provided an extremely high level of care and kindness which helped make our special day even more special.”
“Our favourite photograph is a landscape photo of us and the beautiful scenery looking towards vast paddocks of grapevines and farmland in the distance,” tells Kindy. “The vastness of the landscape, the blue sky and the brightness of the sun seem to project the potential for excitement that the future may hold for a life together.”
Guests gathered in the barn for a lunchtime reception, with a special surprise by the bride and groom. Kindy remembers, “We made a special effort to include an opening singing duet. This was kept as a closely guarded secret to all guests and required months of practice and preparation.”
The newlyweds took to the dance floor with a friend singing Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” for their first dance.
Congratulations on your marriage David and Kindy! Thank you for sharing your beautiful day with us. Thank you also to Twentyone Photos for sharing today’s celebration.
