Natasha & Ramon
Discovering the perfect venue led to this lush industrial vintage wedding being styled to perfection! Overflowing with gorgeous greens and filled with beautiful blooms, this wedding day is one to remember! Peppermint Photography captured the day.
Having met whilst working together at 1889 Enoteca, a restaurant in Woolloongabba in Brisbane, the couple decided to plan their wedding to be uniquely theirs. We love every moment!
Natasha tells of finding her dress, saying, ”I fell in love with a gown by Self Portrait. I saw a picture of it online and knew it was exactly what I wanted. I was hunting it down but it kept disappearing or getting really expensive! I had almost given up when a friend told me it was being sold on Facebook, brand new and for an amazing price. I took a punt, bought it and it fit perfectly! I had been to look at some bridal boutiques and tried on some beautiful dresses, but they were never what I wanted, so it was pretty amazing that it all worked out!” The groom wore a suit by The Cloakroom and shoes by Aquila.
Recalling their favourite moment of the day, the bride shares, ”It was seeing each other for the first time during our first look. It was great to do the first look before the ceremony, and really nice to have that moment to ourselves.”
The bride recalls finding their perfect venue, saying, ”Vieille Branche – The Old Branch was the first and only venue we looked at. I found some pictures on Instagram and couldn’t believe that the venue was in Brisbane! We went to check it out and within 5 minutes we knew that it was perfect for us.”
And in choosing vendors for the day, Natasha shares, ”We chose people who had worked in the space before – it’s quite unusual and we wanted those who were familiar with it. We picked Chris from Wild At Heart for our flowers. She made the most amazing arbor! We then picked Elizabeth Crossley for hair and makeup because Amanda from Peppermint Photography works with her often. Amanda, Chris and Elizabeth are now a little dream team that have been doing heaps of weddings together. They were amazing!”
Making the day their own, Natasha tells, ”We’re glad that we did the things we wanted. We didn’t feel that we had to do certain things just because it was a wedding tradition. We didn’t want a cake, instead we had a huge bottle of Champagne to share with everyone! And we didn’t want heaps of speeches, we created a wedding that was just ‘us’.”
The bride was walked down the aisle by her mum and dad to ‘Heartbeats’ by Jose Gonzalez, and the newlyweds left the room to ‘Elephant Gun’ by Beirut.
Surrounded by the lush decor and their friends and family, the bride and groom were thrilled with everyone who worked on their wedding. When asked for a favourite vendor, Natasha says, ”All of them! We couldn’t pick a favourite, they all nailed it. But definitely an incredible job by Josh Lopez – Executive Chef at Queensland Gallery of Modern Art and his team. The food they created for us was unreal.”
The bride and groom danced their first dance as a married couple to ‘This Must Be The Place’ by Talking Heads, saying, ”It was magic!”
Congratulations to our beautiful bride and groom on their wedding day, and thank you for sharing it with us! Thank you also to Peppermint Photography for your gorgeous photographs!
