There’s so much to discover in New York that will make you fall in love all over again!
What To See And Do:
1. The High Line

Located on Manhattan’s West Side, you’ll find a rejuvenated historic freight rail line. The High Line has now been transformed into a public park elevated above the streets. It’s approximately 2.3 km long, giving you enough space to wander the landmarks as you go. Stroll hand in hand as you take in the views of the Hudson River and the city. Along the way you may come across some performances and art installations. These are all part of a plan for the park to showcase cultural attractions. There’s still more work to go on the High Line Spur which is set for completion December 2017.

While you’re visiting New York why don’t you get a glimpse of Europe too. In 1989 the Berlin Wall was torn down and a few hundred pieces were sent all over the world. New York is now home to five of those pieces, all of which are on public display. You’ll find the pieces scattered throughout the city in the locations below:
1. The 520 Madison Avenue Berlin Wall – Midtown, Manhattan
2. The Kowsky Plaza Berlin Wall – Battery Park, Manhattan
3. The United Nations Berlin Wall – Murray Hill, Manhattan
4. Ripley’s Believe it or Not Berlin Wall – Times Square, Manhattan
5. The Intrepid Museum Berlin Wall – Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan
Why not experience a bit of history on your romantic escape. See if you can tick all five off your list.

One of the most romantic spots you’ll find in the city is One if by Land, Two if by Sea. There are three spaces to choose from, the Constitution Room, the Main Dining Room and the Mezzanine, all of which use lighting to create the perfect scene. The restaurant is available for private functions and is known to host weddings throughout the year.

The pictures are enough to persuade you to make a reservation and the menu will only have you wanting to go even more. There are two options for the menu a Three Course Prix Fixe and the Seven Course Chef Tasting. My mouth is watering for the rack of Colorado lamb with granny smith and potato gratin, braised leeks and sunchoke veloute, yum!
