Madeleine & Matt
I love the way that our urban streets have so much character and life to them- if you ask me, it’s just as beautiful in a different way to the rolling hills and magnificent natural backdrops we see here on Polka Dot Bride. So I love that Madeleine and Matt took to the streets of Toowoomba for their engagement shoot with Steve Doyle.
Madeleine tells of their story “We first met through some mutual friends, I went to school with his cousin and we were both at the same party. Then I went overseas for nearly a year and came back and we ran into each other again.”
Madeleine notes “I chose this style of engagement shoot because I wanted something that would be in contrast to our wedding photos, I wanted a different feel for them. Our wedding will be very vintage so it’s cool to have these really urban shots. I think it also worked well that it was a freezing, miserable day when we did the shoot.”
Madeleine remembers the engagement as being awkward- only because she knew it was going to happen! She explains “We got engaged when we went away to celebrate our three-year anniversary. The whole thing was very awkward because I knew he was going to do it and he knew I knew! But eventually, he asked me if I would marry him on the beach. It was obviously very exciting and I think the awkwardness was partly due to the fact that it was an important and big moment but one which we knew we both wanted so it wasn’t scary at all just weird making it so official.”
very unique photos
