Stef & Clint
To say that I adore Stef and Clint’s Melbourne City glamour wedding would be an understatement. Her beautiful beaded gown, her dapper groom and the elegant features of their wedding reception all tie together to create a truly gorgeous day. Anitra Wells was there to capture the beauty and their memories, and to share it with you.
Of how they, Stef remembers, “We met on a photo shoot – I was the client and Clint was the photographer. Clint loves to tell everyone he picked up the client!”
The bride’s lush bouquet, and the ivory and green floral arrangements at their reception, were created by Kate Hill Flowers. Stef gushes, “She was absolutely amazing. Every time we visited her she was so welcoming, calm and knew exactly what we wanted. She made the day so easy!” The bride and bridesmaid’s hair and makeup were created by Justin Henry.
Stef opulent, intricate wedding gown was created for her by the very talented ladies at Jane Hill. “I wanted it to be a modern take on my mum’s wedding dress, so chose the sleeves and some sheer panels. I loved the fabric Jane Hill had and wanted to show off my statement Valentino shoes! I went to Jane Hill with a really clear idea of what I wanted, and they were amazing in making my dream dress a reality.”
Keeping with a beautiful, family tradition, Stef explains, “We chose to get married at St Thomas Aquinas Church, as it was the same church my parents were married in, so it was really nice to keep that tradition. We loved the size of the church; it suited the number of guests we had so it gave it a really intimate feeling. We loved the outside of the building as well – we thought the blue doors were a fun feature. We didn’t have a full mass, just the ceremony. We are both not overly into being up in front of people so we wanted a no-fuss ceremony. Our priest, Father Michael, was really lovely.”
“We really wanted to include our grandmothers in the ceremony, so we had them sign our registry which meant a lot to us.”
Stef and Clint chose Anitra Wells to capture their day, Stef telling, “Anitra has been a really good colleague of Clint’s for a while so he ALWAYS said he wanted her to take our wedding photos! When we discussed who the options were for our photographer, it was always Anitra. When I first met her she was so calming and easy, it was a no-brainer.”
The couple held their elegant wedding reception at Alto Event Space. “We just both really wanted our wedding to reflect what we love – good food, wine and beer ,and lots of dancing! We wanted the long tables and the CBD lights to give a big feast feel to it!” Claire from Queen Baker made their luscious cake, Stef explaining that this was done on such short notice, but that it was so easy. “We sent her a photo of what we wanted and she matched it perfectly!” The lolly table was created by The Candy Buffet Co.
“Our first dance was to “Sonny” by Bobby Hebb. We got dance lessons from my work friend, Marianna, in our kitchen! We felt we really nailed the dance… we got some cheers!”
Congratulations Stef and Clint! And thank you to Anitra Wells for sharing their beautiful day with us!
Nice pictures. Happy couple
