Bella & Sam
If there was a place for a romantic engagement shoot then the clifftops of this sunset Mornington Peninsula engagement may well be it. Amazing views, wide open skies and one very beautiful love story! All captured by photographer Sarah Tee.
Bella dishes the dirt on how she and Sam came to be. “I (Bella) was Sam’s manager at a Mexican restaurant. We were good friends for a while before I decided to move to Melbourne. That’s when Sam thought we should give it a go and followed me to Melbourne. It was a spicy affair.”
Although the proposal had been wished for, it still came as a surprise to Bella who remembers, “I’d been hoping for a proposal for a while, but Sam absolutely shocked me when he actually did it. He had organised for one of my colleagues to collect a bag of going out clothes and makeup and toiletries etc. He thought of everything I might need to get dressed up. He picked me up from work on a random day of the week and took me to a fancy restaurant. Just as I’d given up any thought of proposal he took me to a cocktail bar above the river where a bottle of French Champagne and the ring were sitting on a beautiful table. He got down on one knee and I just bawled my eyes out. After I’d said yes all the other customers in the bar bought champagne as well and came and toasted us.”
“Truly, we weren’t looking to do an engagement shoot but Sarah is so talented we couldn’t have done it any other way. She really captured us, as in our personalities, in the shoot.”
