The first Wedding Upmarket for the year was held last month and if you’re planning on getting married soon, you will want to put the next date in your diary right now! If you haven’t heard of this Perth event before, the Wedding Upmarket team are all about showcasing a selection of handpicked local designers for the modern bride.
Most brides know the style of the wedding they want and local designers can help transform all of those online inspiration boards into reality. Designers love the opportunity to showcase their work and talk to brides in a relaxed environment.
This year Wedding Upmarket launched a series of free ‘Wedding Insiders’ sessions which were a hit with Perth’s engaged couples. They were short Q&A sessions featuring Perth’s experts who aim to help brides create a truly bespoke celebration. Wedding Upmarket were so pleased to have Ann Lord, Civil Celebrant hosting their Wedding Insiders sessions in a luxury tent from Empire Events.
The sessions covered insider tips on everything from wedding catering, designing/buying a wedding dress, selecting the right accessories to working with a photographer. Styling your venue, hair and makeup, wedding cakes, tips for the gentlemen in the bridal party, wedding floral design and alternatives to cake were other popular topics.
