Israeli designer Julie Vino was inspired by the bold architecture and clean lines of the beautiful Greek city for her 2016 Santorini collection. Geometric shapes, unusually cut necklines, edge sweeping trains and textural, sparkling fabrics all set the scene for a collection that is as much about showing off the wearer’s female form as it is about beautiful design.
Julie remarks that her style is one of “distinctive combination of classic with modern touch and a strong connection to leading fashion trends.” The 2016 collection is daring in its modernity. Off the shoulder gowns sit along side retro style pieces with puff sleeves, cut outs that sweep and shape the wearer’s body, the back of the gown, just as carefully thought out as the front showing the wearer’s form with its curved cut.
Sourcing fabrics from all over the world, the 2016 collection is filled with smooth crepes, elegant French laces and beaded fabrics that shimmer and glimmer in the sunlight.
