Lauren & Shane
The glamour of a black tie wedding is particularly special when it comes to the cooler months and Lauren and Shane’s black tie Brisbane wedding makes nothing less than a very grand statement. They chose Trent and Jessie to capture their day.
Lauren tells the story of how they met. “We met in a coffee shop. I was going to meet up with a friend and when I was walking in this guy I had never seen before came up and stood right in front of my path only to say “you are beautiful”, I said “thanks” then he walked away.”
Jordanna Regan Couture created the br’ide’s gown, Lauren remembering, “I went to so many bridal stores and just couldn’t find what I saw in my imagination so I eagerly decided to custom design it. I stumbled upon this little boutique with the most incredible, individual and intricate dresses I have ever seen. So I told Jordanna Regan what I saw in my head and then she just drew it on paper and it took my breath away, and I can honestly say that she surpassed all my expectations and what my imagination held to be ‘hey dream gown! I chose to have long lace sleeves because I’m always cold, with a backless mermaid style gown as I loved just how different it was with the tulle fishtail and so very fun to wear!”
Lauren and Shane chose The Princess Theatre for their wedding, Lauren remarking “The Princess Theatre is the most beautiful vintage white heritage building! So perfect for a wedding!”
Lauren entered the ceremony through doors built by the groom to “Bones” by Josh Perkins.
Of the ceremony, Lauren remembers, “We loved our ceremony! We went for a very relaxed atmosphere and had my twin brother do a reading (Psalm 149) along with Shane’s cousin leading us in a song of worship and performing an item while we signed. We definitely wanted to make sure we had written our own vows which was actually really hard to do but it made it so much more special when declaring them to each other!”
Of their photographers, Lauren tells, “They are outstanding! Such a beautiful and talented couple! We were so blessed by their creativity and ability to set a comfortable and natural environment to be photographed! They just know what to do, in every circumstance! We highly recommend this awesome pair! You will be spoiled beyond measure! ”
Lauren and Shane chose Mirra Private Dining for their reception, explaining, “We were blown away by! They just know how to put on a party and fill you up with the most delicious food!”
For their first dance, Lauren remembers, “We chose ‘This’ written by Ed Sheeran covered by Jacob Whitesides.”
Wrapped Up Media shot a film for Lauren and Shane of their wedding day.
