One Fine Day - Sydney 2015 - Polka Dot Wedding

As buds begin to sprout and the first blossoms of Spring bloom, a wave of excitement and delight washes over the wedding industry. Visions of barefoot, beach-side ceremonies complemented by balmy evening garden receptions come to life, all expertly executed in the latest styles and designs. It is of course the One Fine Day wedding fair.

The 12^th & 13^th of September at Australian Technology Park saw a magical weekend where creative brides and couples were immersed into the beautiful world of weddings. Forging their own path in the bridal events arena, One Fine Day is an open plan space that allows attendees the freedom of setting their own pace and order of viewing the gorgeous vendors’ stalls.

Each vendor stall was a beautiful display of creativity with something to suit every couple’s style. From styling ideas with In All Things Beautiful, who also displayed their heavenly sweet dukkah (delicious on vanilla icecream for something a little more decadent!) to the acoustic melodies of Duke and Tillee Music, the fair was a playground you never wanted to leave! Whether you’re planning on spending the whole day sourcing samples, ideas and potential vendors, or you’re just looking for one specific category, One Fine Day delivered in fine form, accommodating every couple’s unique needs.

For the bride searching for the perfect gown, or for those just wanting a little inspiration, the renowned runway show was as beautiful as ever with over 25 designers showcasing their own piece of heaven. Catering to the whole bridal party, there were a number of bridesmaid dresses and groom’s suits on display alongside an array of flawless gowns and exquisite lingerie. While it is hard to favour just one look from such a beautiful showcase, the opening strapless number (below) from Suzanne Harward was exceptional!

This fair, brides to be were not only privy to the runway show of the latest gown styles, they also had the opportunity to try on their favourite gowns in the Bridal Showcase. This was a fantastic opportunity for brides to be and their parties to meet with a number of Australia’s most exclusive designers and view or try on gowns in a private space, all while enjoying a champagne of course! Designers in the Showcase included Savvy Brides, Moira Hughes Couture, Sarah Janks, Babushka Ballerina, Samantha Wills, Karen Willis Holmes, Bridal Trousseau, Suzanne Harward and Leah Da Gloria.
