I’m rounding up some fantastic Western Australia and Perth industrial wedding venues today. I love industrial spaces, they have a certain character and a blank canvas feel that creates a really interesting space for a wedding!
If you know a fantastic venue I haven’t included – please leave it in a comment below! I’d love to find out more about it!
Perth City Farm has a huge array of indoor and outdoor spaces (including their working farm!) for weddings, but my favourite space is the heritage barn. Its white walls, exposed beams and blank canvas can be transformed into a magical wedding space with the raw industrial vibe. The venue can hold 200 guests for cocktail functions of 150 seated.
The funky Wolf Lane can cater to functions of up to 40 or can be hired for exclusive use for 120 guests! With a design that reflects the styling of a NYC loft you can expect wooden floor boards, exposed brick and giant windows. Your guests can expect a treat as they enter the venue off a hidden laneway.
Form Gallery
The beautiful Form Gallery has exposed brick, hardwood floors and gorgeous wrap around windows. The art gallery can host 150 guests for a cocktail function or can be combined with other spaces to hold up to 700.
Kidogo Arthouse Kidogo Art Institute with its limestone walls and exposed beam roof is situated right on the beach. The venue has two galleries available for hire (the smaller White Gallery can only be hired together with the Large gallery and makes the perfect place for ceremonies or pre dinner drinks).

Moore & Moore Cafe is a one of a kind venue located in Fremantle. The cafe, popular for it’s food and fine coffee also hosts fabulous functions with an industrial feel. The venue can host groups big or small in sit down three course meals or cocktail parties. The garden courtyard is a beautiful option for ceremonies or pre -dinner drinks while the gallery rooms provide a more enclosed space with corrugated iron walls, exposed brick and exposed beams.
Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery located within the University of Western Australia and has four spaces available for function hire – The Maller, Westpac, Lady Sheila Cruthers and Janet Holmes á Court. The spaces can accommodate up to 350 people and feature cement floors, limestone walls and tall blank walls.
Venn Gallery
Venn Gallery is a complex of artist studios, gallery shop, cafe and gallery spaces. The hardwood floors, exposed roof and white wash walls provide a beautiful blank backdrop with industrial edge for a wedding. The venue hires out the main gallery, skydeck & gallery 2, cafe, entire first floor or entire venue for functions holding 20-250 guests.
Art Gallery of WA has the most incredible cement features – check out that triangular accent roof! The venue caters for functions of up to 800 guests with a variety of spaces and setups. The main concourse, with it’s cement spiral staircase giving you a grand, modern feel to your occasion.
For something completely different why not check out Fremantle Prison? This hidden gem of a venue has a multitude of spaces (including the Crown Theatre above which can seat 60 for dinner) or the Main Cell Block which happily accommodates long, grand tables for 160. The period features of this venue remain intact giving the industrial style a whole new meaning.
Western Australian Maritime Museum
With more modern industrial style spaces, Western Australian Maritime Museum overlooks the Indian Ocean and has a variety of spaces – from the floor to ceiling glass windowed Australia ii Gallery space to the temporary exhibit gallery with white walls, polished concrete floors that can host up to 500 guests.
Midland Railway Station
Available through catering companies (like Ultimo Catering & Events) this old railway station is available to host a multitude of beautiful functions and events inside its walls.
I’m not a wedding venue but I’m a maker of custom industrial and rustic furniture from recycled materials. I’m happy to hire out stock for one-off use 🙂
