Good morning Dotties! We have been plagued by illness the past few weeks at Polka Dot HQ and I’m writing this crossing fingers and hoping everyone is actually well today! Oh Winter, while I love you, you do make it a challenge!
Warming the cockles of our heart are the incredible people that make up the pages of Ms Polka Dot’s Directory are. We have Hair & Beauty , we have Bridal Gowns, we have Venues. We even have Stationery & Paper Goods! So many vendors, so little time – so make sure you take a look yourself at Ms Polka Dot’s Directory and find the vendors that you love!
It’s officially known that I adore my flowers and this week’s vendor of the week Sydney wedding florist Bluebucketful Flowers & Events loves them even more than I do! Her obsession began on a random trip to the flower market where she was immediately inspired to change her life and follow her happiness! Now she makes wedding bouquets arrangements and delights all day long, and is just the ticket for you if you’re looking for a florist for your wedding!
Available to pull the floral elements throughout your entire day together, Linda and her team make sure they choose the freshest and most in season blooms to create a spectacular look for your day.
We asked Linda of Bluebucketful Flowers & Events five questions in five minutes –
What is your favourite after five drink?
A glass of refreshing cold brown-rice green tea .
Your favourite weekend getaway?
A trip to Bowral. Nice place to chill, do some antique window shopping & un-wind.
Favourite restaurant?
I’m a fan of Japanese food and I like to try different places but currently it’s ‘Mino’ at Mosman – exquisite traditional Jap cuisine!
What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?
Coffee, cheesymite & toast 🙂
Your favourite wedding story?
I thought my wedding was very special. At the time I thought it was all very stressful and exciting ( but more stressful). I look back at it now and only remember the beautiful day I had – truly wouldn’t change a thing!
It was a smaller sized intimate wedding as most of our relatives came from all around the world (except Sydney). I started my day with hair & make-up at 4.30am ( I know… I can’t believe it now when I think back!). We had two tea ceremony venues, church mass, pre-wedding shoot, formal family portraits and finally dinner reception. A total of 6 venues in a day! At the time all the detailed planning months and months prior – from doing mood-charts, dessert tables, flower arrangements, hand-made place-cards to salsa dance classes felt very time-consuming and a little stressful. So you can image I was quite pleased that everything paid off especially when we looked back at our photos and videos; seemed that every detail was captured and all the effort was worth our while.

I wish to have plenty of flowers in my wedding scene.
