Mercie & Mike
I always love an engagement shoot. It’s uncomplicated, a love story told through each photo – just you two together. Today’s story, captured by David Henry of Mercie and Mike took place on Bare Island, the couple loving the raw cliff faces, powerful waves and incredible scenery.
On how they met, Mercie and Mike tell “We probably had one or two mutual friends when we first met, at our local church, Mike as a newcomer at the time. From our first conversation, we got along well and have continued the conversation since. ”
On what they love about one another, Mercie and Mike remark “Our love of God, family and friends drew us together, and for one reason or another, Mike’s down to earth, friendly, selfless personality clicked with Mercie’s adventurous side, both having a love of good coffee.”
The proposal was a complete surprise organised at an art museum. Mercie remembers “Mike arranged with the curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art to place the ring in a vitrine, as a part of the current exhibition. Mike took Mercie through one of her favourite places in Sydney until they reached the room with the ring, where Mike got on one knee and proposed.”
Gorgeous images and a very sweet couple 🙂
