Tim and Lauren
Tim and I got engaged during a romantic weekend up at Port Douglas. We went for a walk along the headland below the palm trees just as the sun was setting (my favourite time of day). Afterwards we had a delicious dinner at Salsa Bar and Grill. We waited until after dinner and then we called our family to let them know the good news. Tim had told my parents of his plans the week before so they had been waiting in anticipation for the phone call.
On the long drive back to our home in Mackay, we had time to talk about some plans and a potential wedding date. We had already been together for 3.5 years so we didn’t want a long engagement. Photographer, Candice Van Moolenbroek was one of the first people I contacted to check availability. We had worked with Candice in the past and I loved her style and creative eye.
A wedding date was soon set for six months time and we so arranged an engagement photo shoot straight away. We were happy to take Candice’s lead on the location and so we met at a rooftop carpark. The backdrop was urban and edgy which contrasted well with the romance of a newly engaged couple!
