Sean and Katherine
Sean and I first met eight years ago at work. He was my manager at the time so any sort of a relationship other than a professional one was off limits. It wasn’t until about 6 months in at my friend’s birthday party that we took an interest in each other. A few alcoholic beverages definitely helped us relax!
Over the next couple of months we got to know each other better, until he eventually asked me out! I still remember that day, and I was so happy.
Three days later Sean and I went on a morning walk together. We stopped to sit on a bench in a park, when he turned to me and said “I love you”. It was all very quick and exciting! But I knew I loved him too.
Flash forward six and a half years later. It was a Saturday morning in August of 2012. Sean had let me sleep in as he was secretly cooking me my favorite breakfast. He walked into our bedroom, gently woke me up and asked me to sit up. I was a little bit groggy still when Sean got down on one knee! He held my hand and asked “will you marry me?”, holding back tears. Of course I let out an ecstatic “yes!”. It was truly perfect. Though I was so hyped by this stage I couldn’t even eat the breakfast he made me!
Sean and I decided on a summer wedding on March 21st 2014 at Tatra Receptions, Mt Dandenong. This left us with eighteen months to plan the perfect rustic/vintage wedding.
Ms Gingham says: What a lovely story and a beautiful Brighton Beach engagement shoot to get excited over too!
