Melbourne designer Gwendolynne has long been a firm favourite amongst brides who want beautiful workmanship but a gown that isn’t so traditional. These beautiful gowns are part of the Gwendolynne classics. Consistently inspired by history, Gwnedolynne spends her time searching in vintage stores and flea markets and watching old movies to dream up her next designs.
These gorgeous new images come to us to celebrate the launch of Gwendolynne in New Zealand and London. Having lived in London in her twenties, Gwendolynne not only feels an affinity with the city but is also under heavy demand from British brides! Her New Zealand stockist simply made sense with the neighbour of Australia being a beloved source of beauty for the designer.
Gowns can be purchased in New Zealand from Mille Feuille in Christchurch, New Zealand and Luella’s Boudoir, Wimbledon Village, London.
The Classics Collection will all sell internationally – featuring the sleek silhouettes and decorated, considered beading that Gwendolynne is known for. With inspiration drawn from the Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Mid-Century, Gothic and Victorian periods each piece is distinctive and uses fabrics sourced from France, Holland & Italy.
