Sam & Scott

The engagement photographs of Sam and Scott are positively glowing! Coming to us today from photographer Anthony Hoang taken at the gorgeous Bamboo Down Under, Sam and Scott are expecting their first baby in May this year and braved the heat to celebrate their engagement.

Sam tells “We met after being set up at the RE Hotel at Toowong in Brisbane. Despite our initial reservations about the idea of the date, we felt that initial ‘spark’ and ended up spending hours chatting and getting to know each other. We have rarely been apart since! It was definitely love at first sight.”

“We are both homebodies! We love that we are 100% comfortable with each other and can be truly honest with each other about everything. We just seem to ‘get’ each other on so many levels and can find the fun in any situation. We have the same values and are extremely family oriented.  Every day is full of laughter…usually over very trivial day to day stuff which makes conversation between us so entertaining.”

Sam tells the proposal story.  “Despite me feeling the early effects of pregnancy – nausea and tiredness – Scott insisted on taking me the long way home from visiting family. I had no idea where we were going, except that I really just wanted to go home to bed. I told him I really needed a bathroom, and, conveniently we were at that stage close to the RE hotel (same place we met). So Scott parked the car, and we went in so I could use the bathroom. When I came out, Scott was waiting for me with a drink, and proceeded to tell me everything he loved about me and then proposed. It was very sweet and heartfelt and I am so glad he didn’t give in to my stubbornness and take me home!”
