Jenelle & David
If you combine the stunning feeling of a winery wedding with the moodiness of rainy weather? How cosy and romantic! What a beautiful celebration Jenelle and David had – just the right mixture of modern touches, winery beauty and plenty of their own personalities!
Jenelle shares the story of how they met. “We met through mutual friends (who were dating) on a random night out. We had gone to see a band in the city …..funny story as they are getting married this coming December.”
Photos today are by Cleverdeer Photography . I really love how John captured the joy and told the story of the day so cleverly through his photographs.
Jenelle’s mother tied her bouquet.
Jenelle chose gowns from Carla Zampatti for herself and her bridesmaids. She added a custom made hairpiece from Un Jour De Moins Design. Jenelle remarks ” Robyn from Un jour de moins designed my hand made hairpiece. I had heard about her through a friend and we worked together to create a beautiful hairpiece that perfectly complemented my dress.”
Jenelle says, “We wanted to include as many friends as possible in the preparations for the day. A close friend did the bridal party make-up and another friend who owns a mustang drove the wedding car.”
The ceremony & reception were both held at Inglewood Estate. Jenelle explains “It’s a beautiful country setting (but still close enough to the suburbs) . The ceremony was held in a rustic old chapel & reception followed in a converted/renovated barn on the premises. Perfect setting at any time of the year with beautiful grounds, the cosy fire-lit atmosphere was great for a winter wedding…it was the first place we looked at and we booked it within a week!”
Jenelle walked down the aisle to Ryan Adams, “When the stars go blue”.
Katherine Kulman married the couple, Jenelle explaining, “The wedding celebrant was also a close friend, and it made the experience more personal for us to have her help in the preparations and perform the ceremony.”
Of their photographer, Jenelle says “John, from cleverdeer photography is fantastic guy, with great enthusiasm for his work . This showed before, on & after the wedding day with a set of beautiful photos…. we wanted to create a relaxed atmosphere for the day which included taking minimal set shots. John’s documentary style of photography suited us perfectly. This included candid and set shots of us from the day and he captured many special moments shared with friends and family. The photos capture the beautiful venue & setting. The sequencing of the photos documents the day perfectly, you can see the day unfold from the first photo where we are getting ready, the ceremony, reception and then the fun dancing and carry-on through the night.”
Jenelle explains, “We tried to keep the wedding simple, there was a great atmosphere inside the reception and we really didn’t need to add much… we arranged the table settings ourselves with menus, minimal flowers and guest cards. We also made the invitations, RSVP cards, envelopes and all the handwriting & graphics.”
Congratulations Jenelle and David! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you also to Cleverdeer Photography for sharing today’s wedding with us!
