It’s Polka Dot Hot Spot Friday which means times to talk about those hush hush issues, the ones we talk about behind closed doors for fear of offending, or just foot in mouth disease. But no risk of offense here, just a good, honest discussion.
So I’ve been talking to friends recently about Friday weddings. What do you think? Wonderful idea or horrid? I love that it’s a nice kick off to the weekend, which if you have traveling guests leaves you two full days to visit with them. But there’s the off chance that it’s harder for guests to get time off work (due to having to travel in Thursday and take off Friday). What do you think?
We are having a Friday Wedding – purely because the date (which is sentimental to my fiance) happens to fall on a Friday.
I did get told (albeit a little jokingly) by one friend (who we will be inviting) in a random conversation that she “hated” Friday weddings – as it means people have to organise time of work etc etc.
I just laughed at her. I love a wedding – whatever day it so happens to fall on!
(we are also having our wedding smack in the middle of Winter… our poor guests……)
I love Winter weddings¡ Best time of year 🙂
I love that you’ve chosen a sentimental date and IU agree I do love a wedding no matter the day. I love your perspective and relaxation about it!
For some strange reason, since becomming engaged, I love the idea of a Friday wedding.
Weddings are so important so if someone can’t be bothered taking the time off, then they really shouldn’t be coming to the wedding!
They are also usually cheaper, which is also great 🙂
