A mini inspiration shoot from White Fete Weddings today inspired by this beautiful vintage plate. I love taking one piece that you love and using it as a base to inspire your own celebration. Whether that be a favourite piece of jewellery, a book or in this case the crockery.
Jenna tells of her inspiration behind the shoot. “Quite often I will stumble upon one gorgeous piece that inspires a complete story and photo shoot, and this is often the case for some of the brides I work with, they may have a treasured object they want to incorporate in their big day and everything just flows from there. For this shoot it was the beautiful Royal Albert china plate that lead us to our colour palette and incorporated vintage elements. We paired this gorgeous plate with a white linen napkin and silver charger plate to round it off.
This shoot was really inspired by found objects, using vintage goblets that were sourced from my own mother’s cupboard, french perfume bottles with stacked vintage books from local op shops. We even used one of these vintage books as a ring pillow, with twine – a great idea for any DIY bride!”
“To keep things romantic we chose a garden setting at Emerald Lakes on the Gold Coast in Queensland to set up our table scape. We used fresh white linen and wooden dining chairs which were sanded back and painted white. Each chair with it’s own custom ‘you’ and ‘me’ sign placed in a rustic wooden frame.”
“The sweet lemons and fresh blooms added colour to the table scape whilst maintaining our vintage theme. The use of rustic twine, apothecary jars, old postage tags and luggage bags tied the complete look together.”
“We used burlap and twine with a silver and pearl brooch to complete the bouquet, I am loving the use of brooches on bouquets. Whether you have one that was passed down through your family, or can source one of your own, that one day (where) you can perhaps even hand (it) down to your own daughter, I think it adds an element of glamour to any bouquet.”
Evey details are so gorgeous! China wedding inspired are great ideas.
