Vanessa and Jay
In the depths of winter (oh hello I need something hot to drink right now!) it’s time to unveil another beautiful destination wedding! This time we’re headed to one of my favourite destinations, the stunning Villa Botanica on Airlie Beach!
Vanessa says “We met through a mutual friend, became friends for 6months then we finally realised life would be sweeter together.”
And, let’s be honest, destination weddings are often in spectacular locations, so Sabra Creative shot today’s beauty in, well a beautiful way!
The day started off with a fun girly celebration. Vanessa explains “My bridesmaids made a beautiful vintage style garter with turquoise stones for something new and blue and I borrowed her mother of pearl pendant I bought for her 21st which I engraved a lovely message on the back and pinned it to my bouquet. We also had a birthday cup cake for my daughter who turned one 2 days before the wedding, she loved the attention and it was great to have everyone there to help celebrate it.”
Vanessa walked down the aisle to “Better Today by Coffey Anderson, a beautiful song I found by Youtube.”
Of their photographer, Vanessa says, ” Our photographer was the best, she was relaxed, fun and open to ideas, she helped make the day perfect and everyone loved her as well…. ”
For their first dance, Vanessa says “We actually hadn’t planned a first dance at all but it ended up being champagne showers by LMFAO. Not very romantic but very fun and was probably more us as it wasn’t planned and just happened by itself, we like to dance…”
Thank you Vanessa and Jay for sharing your wedding with us today. And thank you to Sabra Creative for the gorgeous images.
Such a gorgeous wedding! Just wondering where those fab bridesmaids shoes came from ??!
Hi Melissa,
Unfortunately the bride didn’t say! Hopefully she reads this and can answer you!
Look great! Best wishes!
What a gorgeous wedding! What type of flowers are in their bouquets?
