Happy Monday Polka Dotties! I am of course ready for another week of wedding inspiration (I’m making my list and checking it twice to make sure we get plenty of delicious content out the door before Christmas!) How about you?

Todd Hunter McGaw is a rad Brisbane based photographer who along with his wife Alyda, make up the dynamic duo that is Todd Hunter McGaw Photography. Todd and Alyda have a beautiful way of capturing images, a classic beauty – but with a sense of humor, a little twist that makes you giggle or look twice.

Not only are they some of the friendliest people you just might meet (seriously, their emails are some of the nicest!) but they’re good at what they do with Todd taking out Wedding Photographer Of The Year in QLD recently!

Today we ask Todd Hunter McGaw Photography’s, Todd five questions in five minutes.

What is your favourite after five drink?

Hendricks (gin) & tonic with cucumber.. it’s unbeatable.

Your favourite weekend getaway?

Renting a house at the beach + sitting around reading books, day dreaming, & swimming in the ocean.. ideal 🙂

Favourite restaurant?

Right now, my favourite local is Ginga – a Japanese sushi train/restaurant, but like real Japanese.. but also (I wouldn’t call this my favourite restaurant as such), I had the best steak of my entire life at Frankie & Johnnie’s on West 45th St, New York City..

What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?

If it’s wedding day or bike ride day, I’m usually munching on a big bowl of porridge (with sultanas).. but if it’s relax with friends day & we’re going out for breakfast – eggs benedict & good coffee..

Your favourite wedding story?

I have a lot of favourite wedding stories.. we tend to attract clients that want to do something uniquely ‘them’ for their wedding… I’m not talking about ‘what’s hot & what’s not’ in the wedding world, I’m talking about people who really want to express who they are through the planning of their wedding.. We once photographed a wedding completely themed around video games & online games.. amongst many other things, they hired a bunch of old school arcade games for their reception & the bride walked down the aisle to the actual Mario Bros. theme music.. it was awesome… it was so them.
