It’s such a delight that I am writing the first official post for 2011. This year is full of such hope and promise and I can just see the twinkling of the newly engaged readers joining us for the first time!

Today for our usual fashion Monday, I thought I’d let you in on a new designer I discovered last year. Kristi Bonnici is based in Sydney and makes the most elegant, gorgeous bridal accessories to top off your wedding day look. From polka dot veils, to elegant silk capes and flower filled fascinators.

With a background in fashion design and millinery, Kristi’s emphasis is on challenging how a bride should dress- instead of focusing on the gown, Kristi’s way is to focus on the entire look. Her beaded capelets drape heavily over silky gowns, the dramatic curves of the jacket create drama over the simple gowns and the hair pieces? Simply beautiful!
