Alice and Aman
A completely different wedding for you this afternoon (and don’t I LOVE it!) This wedding is full of culture, full of glamour and gives me plenty of warm fuzzies. Plus this post is two weddings for one, which to be honest, is the best kind of two-for-one deal I know!
So let’s hit up Brisbane, the Sunshine state for the weddings of Alice and Aman.
Photographs captured by Deep Grey Wedding Photography.
Alice and Aman started their wedding morning with a ceremony called “The Ceremony Of Joy” in a Sikh ceremony in the city.
Fiona of Deep Grey Photography says “I thought this was beautiful- the cloth Alice and Aman are holding is a pala (scarf). The pala symbolises the soft but strong bond between husband and wife, they each hold an end of the scarf. It’s so great to see other cultures and religions at play in a Marriage ceremony. A nice reminder that although we may have different customs and traditions, we all believe in Marriage and family unity. I love it.”
After the traditional Sikh ceremony, Alice and Aman headed to the Treasury Hotel to get ready for a low key civil ceremony with their family and friends. Alice wore a floor length gown from Lisa Ho.
Alice carried a simple bouquet of white tulips.
The reception was held at the Treasury Hotel, tables were decorated with simple white tulips and a dear friend made the couple’s three tier wedding cake.
Alice says “Guests partied into the night to an eclectic mix of Bhangra and Beyonce.”
Congratulations Alice and Aman on your wedding day and marriage! Thank you for sharing your day with us and thank you to Fiona at Deep Grey Wedding Photography for sharing the photographs today!
Wow…I love the mix of cultures with the two different ceremonies. The reception setup looks stunning!
This must be one of the most beautiful weddings I have seriously ever seen. And the photography is utterly stunning.
Oh my! Both parts of this wedding are absolutely beautiful! How gorgeous are the couple? The vibrancy of the first service is highlighted so wonderfully by the understated chic of the civil service. I LOVE it!
